No. I don't have a cell but I'm getting one when I get straight A's [Which, I am! ] and even then, school is for learning.
People who text, you can look back ten years from now and you'll realize that putting the phone anyway and actually LEARNING AND PAYING ATTENTION will make all the difference later!

I agree 100% with that statement. I didn't have a phone way back when I was in school myself, and honestly I'm grateful I didn't have the distraction.
I know my students have their phones out when they keep looking at me to see if I'm watching them. Or if they have their hands under their desks too long. OR if they're quiet too long during group projects. Don't be fooled if you think your teachers are "clueless"--they probably know what you're up to. Respect is a two-way street!
xD Can't. For a few reasons .. one, we don't even get service at our school! I have to be at least by one of the doors to have like, one bar. So we can cross that out. xD But even if, I probably wouldn't do it anyways ... it's only the small rules I don't follow ... dress codes, lockers, stairways ... like stuff that doesn't lead to detention. xD
Lol, yeah. My teacher doesn't mind it at all, long as we get our work done. But I'm homeschooled (with about 30 other kids), and we get to do pretty much whatever. She's buying us some easy-bake ovens and letting us cook in them. xD And yeah you're thinking, 'wow you all must be really young.'
haha. No.
However, I don't text much anyways, but I voted yes because I can and have before.
No, I think it's very disrespectful. I don't have a cell phone, and I don't want one. I try to learn during school.
I do understand what you are saying. I have texted in class once but that was because i was having a project and i had a reminder and someone started text me and it was my friend then my teacher! He wrote remember to study! He is the best teacher in the world!
