Chick-lit...? Does Twilight count as one of those? I've never heard of them until just now, though the books I like to read are sometimes aimed more towards the female demographic...
If it's aimed at the female demographic to the point were guys couldn't enjoy it, it's a chick-lit.
I am honestly not sure if Twilight would count as a chick-lit. It's narrated by a girl, and it seems to attract girls more, but I know of quite a few guys who have read and enjoyed Twilight (many refer to them as "Twi-Guys").

those books i think are more aimed at the younger generation. (middle school.)
I didn't even like them in middle school. Yeah, I think they are aimed more at pre-teens than anything.

My friend let me borrow one of the clique books (I think it was... it might have been a different series) and like all they talked about was guys and makeup.
Exactly. It just kinda annoys me.
I like the type of chick-lits that are about normal girls who go through more normal problems and aren't a bunch of materialists. And aren't overly girly.

not really, I'm not a really girly girl, so i dont like all the drama, and like when girls at my school are like "OMG i just brok a nail!" "it's like omg call the hospital!" xD
Eh. . . Not so much. I've tried The Clique, but I got really bored with the characters. Probably considering that I act nothing like that. It seemed like all they talked about was boys, clothes, and makeup.
I do like the ones about normal girls, though. Not just a bunch of materialists, like you said above.
Yay, fo sure. I don't really read any other types. Except some adventure I like that.
I agree with you summer, I like chick-lits that are about more normal girls who go through normal situations. I like The Clique though.
Nay on the whole. The Clique or Pretty Little Liars is okay because there's a deeper element than just romance. In the Clique, they're so calculating and conniving. In Pretty Little Liars, it's a murder mystery/chic-lit so it's interesting.
But straight-fluff romance chick-lits make me sick. I need some action or at least a good fight.
