Are you tired of long waiting lists to get help for your room? Are you a Webkinz Room Designer that isn’t quite ready? Are you embarrassed to show you need help with a room?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions read on!
Hey I’m cac953! I am an official WRD (Webkinz Room Designer) and I can help you be a great designer too! Here are the steps I take when designing a room.
Step 1: Center of Attention Find an item or items you would like to build a room around. Example-Night at the Movies Superbed.
Step 2: Color Code Find colors that would go with it. Make sure it’s not all the same color. Example- The Night at the Movies Superbed is warm colors, Orange, Yellow, Red. Use warm colors to create a room that will blend with the bed, not a theme that would make it stick out like a sore thumb.
Step 3: Get Size Wise Depending on what you are doing, you may need different sized rooms. Here is my size chart, you don’t have to go by it, it’s just what I think.
Room #of PetsAppropriate Size Bedroom 1 Medium- Unless you want a small kitchenette in the room. Bedroom2-3 Large- You will need more space for more beds. Living Room 1-5 Medium- You will want a place for everyone to sit and well, live! Living Room 6-10 Large- A place for everyone, make small areas to sit and chat. Kitchen Unlimited Large/Medium- A place for appliances, counters, and places to sit. Bathroom Unlimited Small- There isn’t much to do in a bathroom, unless you want fancy... Office 1-2 Small- There are desks and chairs for 2, why need more space? Office 3+ Large/Medium- More people, more space to work! Dining Area 1-10 Medium- Table and chairs for your pets, and space for guests! Dining Area 11+ Large- Larger for a lot more pets! Club 1-5 Medium- A space for chat and games, a place to hang out! Club 6+ Large- A larger place to hang and play games!
Example- A bedroom for one pet with the superbed, would be medium. A place to chat with friends and relax, and an area for storage/beauty, you don’t need that much room.
Step 4: Arrangement Plans Make areas to talk and relax, an area to sleep, and an area for clothing/storage. You could also make an area to eat. Don’t like up chairs and have it be the chair section, does it really make sense? Example- TV and chat in one corner, bed in another, storage in another, and the last corner would be for anything else you would like!
Step 5: Finishing Touch Add decorations that stand out a little. Some windows, anything tat would make the room more personalized! Example- The warm colors are really nice, but add some cool colors like blue or white walls so it doesn’t get too hot!
Wow! Take a look at your room now! Pretty special no? (as Chef Gespatcho would say!) Make sure to look through the W-Shop for anything else that would look totally fabulous in your new room!!!
Instead of focusing on one item, you could do a color scheme, like pink and green!
Hope you liked my article!!! If you have any comments or suggestions please post! I would love to hear them, constructive criticism is good! (Please don’t be rude though!)
