I looked at the thread that has the directions of how to post pics and my "print screen" button doesn't do anything when I push it. That is the first step listed and it doesn't appear to work on my computer.

Has anyone else ever had this problem??

After you hit the print screen button you have to open paint... and paste it. If you don't you won't be able to see it. Since paint acts as your paper. The print screen just pretty much copies the ink (if you will) from your screen. That way when you paste it to paint you can see it.

Quick & Simple for Windows --
cntrl+print screen
click start
all programs
accessories
paint, edit, paste save as jpeg, bmp is too big

More In-Depth If you are on Windows, to learn to take screenshots and post pictures on WebkinzInsider Forums, please visit Webkinzlover525's great guide!

If you are on a Mac, find something you want to take a picture of, then press "Shift+Apple+4" You will see your mouse pointer turn into crosshairs. Click on the upper-left corner of what you want to take a picture of, and drag a box around it. You will hear a camera sound and the screenshot will appear on your desktop as "Picture 1" . Then, just upload it to WI, with the instructions below, as it is already in .PNG format!

If you have images that are already in .GIF, .JPG or .PNG format, you can upload them directly to WI so that they will appear at the bottom of your message with the "zoom" function. In order to do this, just make your reply or new topic, and below the typing window, click "manage attachments" and upload your images!

Step 1:

Hit the button on your computer that says "Prnt Scrn" and has "SysRq" written underneath it. Then go into the program paint. Go under Edit, then click Paste. You will then see the screen your computer was on when you clicked that button. Click the top right image in the icon bar, and drag it around the part of the picture you want. Then, right click and click "Cut." The part you want of the image will then turn white. On the top toolbar, click "Image" then click "Clear Image." Everything will then disappear. Click "Paste" again, and you will see the part of the image that you wanted. Go to the bottom right corner of the entire paint screen, and drag the corners until the corners fit the size of the image. Finally, go to "File" and click "Save." Name your image, and click Save.

Step 2:

Go onto tinypic.com. Click the browse button. Find your image, and click "Open." Then, click "Upload Now." Wait until the image is loaded, and you will get to a screen that has a bunch of web addresses on it. Click on the second one, which says "IMG Code For Forums and Message Boards." Right click it, and click paste. Finally, when you want to paste your picture into a post, click paste. It will appear as a link, but once you post it, it will come up as the image.

Important Tips:

*Don't click "Prnt Scrn" a million times. Click it once, and nothing will happen. Just click, go to paint, and click paste, and you will see that you actually did do something.

Here is a picture I included to help you out. Everything that you eventually will need to click on in paint is circled in red.

Click the image to open in full size.
