Default How To Take Pics Of Your Computer Screen

I've seen a lot of contests that require screen shots of Webkinz and rooms. I've also seen a lot of requests for help on how to do this so thought I would print up some instructions. These instructions cover how to take a screenshot, how to edit your picture to include only what you need, how to decrease the file size of the photo, and how to upload photos to WI. I hope you get some benefit from from this info. Enjoy!

What's your computer doing? Try going through the instructions step by step. If that doesn't work, if you could tell me which step in the instructions it doesn't work for you maybe I can help.

You have to press <Ctrl> and <Print Screen> at the same time.

When you hit print screen it looks like nothing happens! but when you paste it into Paint it is there. If it still doesn't work try fragglemom's sugg. to hold down control at the same time as print screen. You may have to do that on some computers, although I don't have to on mine.

Neither your idea or fragglemom's worked!!! When I went to piant, the paste command under Edit was not highlighted (ie, I could not click on it to paste)

any idea?

When you did Control-PrintScreen did you press both keys at the SAME TIME?
Not knowing your keyboard makes it difficult to help, but try other combinations like Control-Shift-PrintScreen or Control-Alt-PrintScreen (pressing all 3 keys at the same time)
I'll keep an eye on this thread - let me know if it works.

Or try .... when you go to paint, click in the blank white area then press Control-V

Excellent information in a very useable form. This was very helpful to me. The pet list also. I can never remember what I have when I go shopping, which is why I have over 5 of some of the pets! Rep point for you!
