Default How NOT to edit a new thread (If the title is confusing, click here to see what I mean)

I did this a few times before figuring out that it was a bad idea, Here's what I'm talking about:

You just made this nice brand- new thread and after you click submit you see an error, you don't want to scroll all the way down to modify, so you just backspace or hit the back button, fix it, then press submit again. Now I realized after accidentally doing this a few times that this does NOT edit the thread, like I thought, it makes a NEW thread. So here's what you can do if you did this or do it in the future:
Pick ONE of the two threads, probably pick the fixed one, and change the title on the OTHER ONE the one you didn't pick, to something like this 'Mod or Admin please close" Or "Mistake, close please" This will get the thread all closed and you don't have to worry about it.

AM I the only one who ever did this? I sure hope not, I don't want to sound like a crazy person...
If I am please don't get angry at me, nobody ever told me that didn't work, I assumed it did

If this should happen again, here is my suggestion (and no, I don't think you are a crazy person, who would guess that this would create a duplicate thread?) Flag your own first post on the thread that you don't want; a dialogue box will open for your reason for flagging, type: "Please DELETE this thread, it's a duplicate made by accident." The Mod or Admin will delete your "bad" thread and only your good one will remain. Things will be much neater that way!
