This guide will show you how to make a very basic animated signature. In order to use this guide you will have to have a picture editing program on your computer. The program I use is Paint Shop Pro XI. You can download a 30 day free trial of the newest version of PSP by clicking the link below.
First you will need to choose a piece of clipart. For this example I chose a stocking. You will need to erase the background around the stocking.
Once you have erased the background around the stocking open a new project window. You will need to "copy" and "paste" the image of your stocking onto this new window.
You now have to choose which Webkinz pet you are going to use. Erase the background around that pet. The next step is to erase the back feet and the center section between the front two legs. This will allow your pet to hang their paws over the top of the stocking. I used a black background to help this image stand out. You do not need to add a background.
Now you need to "copy" and "paste" your edited pet onto the picture with the stocking.
This is the time to add any text you want to use in your message. For this picture I chose the phrase "Merry Christmas." Once you have your text in place you need to position your pet on top of the stocking. Line it up so the pet looks like it is popping out of the stocking and hanging it's paws over the top edge. Save this image.
Now move your pet a little further down into the stocking. Erase any parts that can be seen behind the stocking. Save this as image2.
Lower you pet a little more and save this as image3.
This time erase your pet completely and leave only the text and the stocking. Then save this image as image4.
Now it's time to animate. Click the link below to be taken to a website that will allow you to animate your pictures. You have to have a membership to be able to use this website but it is a free resource.
This is the first page you will see. Click the button in the upper right hand corner that says "upload pictures."
Click the "browse" button and find the pictures you just saved. Then click "upload."
Once your pictures have been uploaded click the "gallery" button in the top right hand corner of the screen.
Next click the button that says "create animation."
Click on your pictures in the order you want them to appear. First you will need the empty stocking, then the one with very little head showing, next the one with more body showing, and then the one of the entire body. Then click "next step."
Now click "start." Make sure you watch to see if your animation in running correctly. It should show your pet in the different stages of popping up out of the stocking.
If the animation is running as planned then click the "download" button and save it to your computer.
Now you are finished with making your signature. The last step is to upload it directly onto WI or you can go to http://www.photobucket.com and upload your picture there. If you want to use a link to add your siggy click this button.
If you only want to post your image click this link.
Congrats! You should have just completed your first animated signature. It should look something like this...
