That is wonderful for a first attempt. You can make bobble heads from the front or sides whichever you prefer. You should be very proud of yourself. That is a very good looking avatar :0)

As long as you are able to change the speed of the slideshow to reflect it's content it would be about the same :0)

Oooh. I see, I see. I am still trying to get the program for Christmas. I am also begging my siblings to chip in also, and that would be their Christmas present to me. They think I'm crazy to want a Photoshop program that costs $80 for Christmas. Oh well.
I think the slideshow-animation would be pretty hard to make actually. You'd have to make it look just right and make everything perfect.

Thanks for all your help! Thanks too for your time!

Thanks! Hopefully, with enough attempts and a better editing program, I can make something as good as yours!(Yeah, right!)

For everyone who is asking what program I use, I have Paint Shop Pro XI. You do have to purchase this program. This guide will give you a basic idea of how to make bobble heads. You can apply that to any editing program you have on your computer.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

If you do not have an editing program on your computer and cannot use Paint here are a couple of alternatives.

1. Web Resizer does not require you to download it in order to use it. http://webresizer.com/resizer/

2. Picasa does have to be downloaded. It is a free Google feature. http://picasa.google.com/

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

First of all you need to pull up the picture of whatever pet you are going to use for your bobble head.

Click the image to open in full size.

Then you need to copy and paste a second image beside the first.

Click the image to open in full size.

Next you will need to erase everything but the head of the first image. Then erase only the head on the second image.

Click the image to open in full size.

Once you have those two pictures finished you will need to rotate the image of the head about 15 degrees.

Click the image to open in full size.

You will have to do this once for the left side...

Click the image to open in full size.

and once for the right side.

Click the image to open in full size.

Each time you rotate the head in the first image you will need to "copy" and "paste" that image into the second picture. Make sure the head is lined up properly and save the image as "bobble1". Then rotate the head in the opposite direction and label it as "bobble2"

Click the image to open in full size.

Now you should have three images. The image you started out with. The image with the pet's head tilted to the left and the image with the pet's head tilted to the right. Now it's time to animate. Click the link below to go to a website that allows you to animate your pictures.

http://www.picture2life.com/

To use this website you will have to start an account. There are other websites that allow you to do "slideshow" animation but I prefer this website myself. Now that you have an account you need to click the button that says "upload images." Select the image with your pet's head tilted to the left. Then select the image with your pet's head tilted to the right. Finally select the original image of your pet twice.

Click the image to open in full size.

Now it's time to click the "upload" button.

Click the image to open in full size.

Then you need to click "gallery" in the top right hand of the page.

Click the image to open in full size.

Once your gallery shows up you should see the four images you just uploaded. Click the button that says "create animation."

Click the image to open in full size.

Now it's time to put your pictures in the order they will be animated in. First click on the original picture. Then click the picture with the pet's head to the left. Now click the second copy of the original picture. Last click the picture of the pet's head to the right. When you have your pictures added in the right order click "next step."

Click the image to open in full size.

Once your image loads onto this page you need to click the "start" button. It takes just a second to begin.

Click the image to open in full size.

When your animation starts to run make sure you check that it is running in the right order. Then click "download" and save it to your computer.

Click the image to open in full size.

Also if you want to change the speed of animation click this button on the left and you can change the speed of the animation, add effects, or change the size of your animation.

Click the image to open in full size.

Click here change the time between pictures.

Click the image to open in full size.

You can also click this button to change the size of the picture you have made.

Click the image to open in full size.

Make sure if you change your speed or size that you click the "apply now" button to save that change.

Click the image to open in full size.

Now it's time to go to http://www.photobucket.com or whatever site you use to upload images. Upload the picture you just created. Then use the link or upload onto WI directly from your computer.

Click the image to open in full size.

Congrats! You should have just completed your first bobble head animation. Great job!
Click the image to open in full size.

**On page 5, post #42 of this thread are some bobble head avatars that anyone can use. Please only use the avatars I have listed. All other images are for my personal use and are NOT to be taken or used. Thanks :0)**
Where do you get it?
I want to get it for free, if you can.

I am not 100% sure. I have heard good things about both sites. I mainly listed them because some people (like myself) do not like to download programs. So if you don't like downloads you have an option and if you don't mind downloades you have an option. I think they both pretty much do the same thing.

You have to pay for Paint Shop Pro. You can order the software or download it straight from the net. You can purchase the software at any place like Circuit City, Best Buy, etc. I wish they had a free version but sadly there is not one out there.

Hey Bandie,
I downloaded Picasa the other day to try this out, I really didn't get anything figured out. It's hard to find your way around Picasa. I only managed to figure out how to do slideshows, not make the bobblehead animations. Dogsdigholes said that you can actually make animations by making the slideshows, just making each slide move a little each time.
Good luck, If you do get it figured out on how to do these in Picasa, let me know.

It looks like you can't do it with Picasa. That program won't allow you to crop or rotate like you need to. I'm still looking around to see if I can find anything online that allows you to do those things but I haven't had any luck yet.

That is a good idea. It will give you 30 days to learn the program and use the features you need.
