Okay, so there may be a thread about making regular fades, by going onto a website and making the computer make your Fade for you, but I make all my Fades by hand. This is a little tutorial on how I do it.
Go to THIS website. (Just click the word 'THIS')
Choose out two colours. Let's say I will use DARK PINK and LIGHT PINK. Now I want to make the word 'KittyKrazy293' into a fade.
Put your two colours into the two boxes. (ie. Let's say I wanted Dark Pink first, and then Light Pink, so I would put the Dark Pink into the first one, and Light Pink into the second one) Then choose your Mid Points. (This is how I remember it: Count up the number of letters in the word, and then subtract two to get the right amount. For example, if KittyKrazy293 has 13 letters, I would pick 11. *But it only goes up to 10. Oh well, it is close enough*)
You should now have something that looks like this. (Please check Attachment #1)
Now open up Microsoft Word or whatever you have. (I use Microsoft Office Word 2007)
Start typing in your special tags. (, [b.] *w/o the dot* etc.) Where it says 'bla bla bla' in my example tag, you would put the first colour you see on the long panel of colours on the Fade Website.
Now it should look like this. (Please check Attachment #2)
Just continue doing that for the whole thing with all the colours. (Please check Attachment #3)
Once you're done that, Copy and paste the code onto WI or wherever you'd like it. (Please check Attachments #4 & #5)
Hit 'Preview' on WI to make sure everything is okay (If not, just fix it up.. it shouldn't be too major), and if so, you now have a perfect Fade!
