Default Homophones

Okay.... I've seen bunch of posts lately with members misusing homophones. This drives me crazy!! lol

So, I am going to make a little guide showing the correct way to use homophones. If yoou have more that youd like me to add, just LMK.

To, too, and two

To should be used when saying you are going to a place, going to do an action, etc.
EX: I am going TO the store.

Too should be used in agreement.
EX: I like that book, TOO.

Two should be used as a number.
EX: I have TWO dogs.

They're, there, their

They're should be used for "they are".
EX: THEY'RE going to the store.

There should be used as a place.
EX: Are you going THERE?

Their should be used as possession.
Is that THEIR ball?

You're, your

You're should be used for "you are".
EX: YOU'RE getting a new car?!

Your should be used as possession.
EX: Is that YOUR new car?

A PRINCIPAL is somebody who is the head of a school, not a PRINCIPLE. To remember this, pretend that you are "PALS" with your "teacher".

These are some of the largest that I have seen, but as I said above, if you know another big one, please post it on this thread.

First off, thank you for using the right "to/too/two"! lol

And, yes, I am hoping that this will help people who get them mixed up.

Um, you might want to put your apostrophe in the burgundy words above.
