Well, there's something you forgot in the thread.
I always start each welcome with "WELCOME TO WEBKINZ INSIDER, USERNAME!!!" in huge, bold print with capitals in color.
It makes it lots more appealing!

thanks for the great thread. all of us should show great respect for the newbies. we don't want our newbies to disapear because they don't feel safe and (or) comfortable. i will use your advice☺☺☺

When I welcome new members I always give abbreviations. Sometimes it helps to be creative, like Funsilly, she made a welcome poem which was so cute! Also give rep and ask to be a friend.
