Default [GUIDE] Close Your Threads!

I've seen WAY to many threads with 'close' as the title
ended WNTM signups with the next 3 rounds posted
answered help threads not in the somebody help section
and ect., ect., ect.
So... I decided to make this thread.
It also makes it easier on the mods so that they don't have to go looking for those threads.
And guess what- my guide has pictures!

Step 1.
Find thread that needs to be closed.

Step 2.
Find and click the red flag button on the thread to be closed [it will always be in the same spot]
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 3.
Type 'Close' in the box that will apper, then click 'send report'.

It also helps if you want to delete or open a thread too.

I have done this multiple times.
I never insert 'Closed' as a title unless it's a reminder for me to close it.
I usually 'report' my own threads, to make it easier on the mods.

Great guide!

Thank you! There are so many that need to be closed. I just found about 4 in the help section. I didn't know we could flag someone else and ask it to be closed. I do it to mine
Thanks again! Karen

Great guide! I generally say something a little warmer that just "Close". I say "Could you please close my thread? Thanks so much! " or something like that.

Great Guide!
Although I do agree with Hoodedwarbler...
I usually say something a little friendlier such as "Please close" or "Would someone mind closing this for me?" or "This needs closing" its little nicer then just saying 'close' in my opinion.
Thanks for writing this guide!
I'm sure this will help out a lot of people.

I have a suggestion...
Maybe add this works well for opening posts too.
You can flag any closed post of yours and ask an admin to reopen it, just as you can to close it.

Great guide!
