i'm new to WI... this site is amazing! Soooo much helpful info...
i'm a grandma - helping to raise several grandchildren while my son + his family get back on their feet. the one thing i've found - to bring some "clean" fun + joy into these little one's lives WAS webkinz pets - and (what i thought would be a way to stimulate their brains and develope skills) the website. since joining webkinz -- SOOO many tears have been shed because the site is frequenetly "down"... or things just don't work.
yesterday they didn't get their pixie seeds - and dunk didn't work...
this morning many of the games/features don't load.
i'm all for capitalism - BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KING! Ganz - Webkinz obviously doesn't think this applies to them! 1st - they don't want to be bothered/annoyed by complaints - their idea of providing support is a "comment" link that they don't read!
they have an "F" rating with the BBB...
many retailers here have discontinued carrying their products because their customers complain about the website too much!
how does one get to GANZ -- it is nimaginable that they are making the $$$$ they do from the sale of these pets -- but basically thumb their nose at providing service!
they must not monitor their site -- they make "upgrades" obviously without verifying their programming for errors. and don't seem to care whether the site - or what they perceive as their "fabulous" "NEW" features - really work.
it was terribly difficult to watch the little ones - it happened so quickly - waste all their wish tokens (they were saving them to get each other christmas gifts) when the NEW Daily WISH feature didn't work... the "orb " wasn't working at 1st - they kept clicking - and yes, wasted all their tokens... they each had over 35!
how can i get to ganz - complain and maybe get some response + satisfaction???

Hello and welcome to WI !! Wow, that was some first post you made !! You nailed quite a few of the issues that plague us in WW and I, too, have had crying nieces on my hands and it breaks my heart.
I don't know what to tell you other than calling Ganz will probably give you more frustration than you are already feeling. I find that calling Ganz's .... ahem .... customer support line is like beating a dead horse because they have a pat, little answer for everything you want to tell them and none of their answers are helpful. They won't replace the tokens, I can tell you that much from experience.

For what it's worth, you can try calling Ganz's Customer Support (I use 1-866-932-5469)

Ganz's response to just about everything you tell them is not working properly or working at all in WW ~ "Our computer technicians / tech support are aware of the problems you've described, but I cannot give you a time frame as to when the problems will be fixed."
Based on four years of experience with Ganz and dozens of phone calls to Customer Service in regards to issues I've suffered through in my accounts over the years, I'm not sure if you will get any satisfaction (there are far more reports from disgruntled WW members on WI than there are satisfied members) .... but if you do, count yourself lucky and among the few.

Our accounts were fine yesterday, but today, all of them just go to a blue screen.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with my good friend Desty, but I started having problems yesterday evening both dunk, and W shop coupon were blue screen, and all day everything took forever to load, I have 7 NA accounts all EST and all of them had the same problems. I'm sorry everyone is having problems. Ganz Happens .
This is wierd. I could do very little at home..... BLUE SCREEN but when I got to work at 8:30 I logged in to my Asian account and was able to do everything. Magical Forest, Quizzy's, Employment Office and my rooms are loading. Does this make any sense? I THINK NOT!!!!!!
Same type of situation here. My sister had me try to do her account from my house, and everything works for me. Thinking it was fixed, I had her try to access the areas at her house, and she still gets blue screen, and then can only log out. We are both on U.S. accounts. Does the server change according to the computer? Or is my account always on server 8 no matter what computer I'm on? Maybe whatever server her computer is on is having problems, but server 8 is not. (We are all on regular accounts, not deluxe.)
I'm on Internet Explorer, and I'm the one who is not having problems. We don't know what browser my sister is on, who can only do jumbleberries. Everything else fails to load, usually goes to blue screen. (I asked my husband what browser I'm on.)
Has anyone tried calling Ganz yet to see if they are aware of this issue? I don't want to overwhelm them with calls, I'm just wondering if this is something they are fixing or are still unaware of?
Just called them and spoke to a very nice CR. She told me they are aware of the loading issues. I told her how dissatified I was lately, with the site not working. Asked her to pass along my complaint about the 24/7 and they should go back to regular maintenance. She said everyone, should send in a comment, in the comment section of WW. They are all read by the POWERS THAT BE and TECHNICAL SUPPORT. They might rethink the maintenance issue. I also asked her, why they redesigned the Webkinz Newz, if they don't utilize it, to tell people what is going on, that it is just a common courtesy to let people know, if something isn't working, so people don't get so frustrated. I told her to pass on my idea of Ganz, just using some common sense, to keep there customer base happy, or they weren't going to have customers anymore. (Like it's going to help).
For the second time in 4 days KA froze up on me after completing the creativity! Took screen shots and called Ganz. I was told be person on the other end that they KNEW KA was having problems but would not take it down nor would we be awarded the 2 classes that are level ten passers! Basically so sorry we wasted your time and it is our policy not to award you for our foul ups!
Stay away from KA for a while unitl they get around to fixing it. They know there is a problem it is just the getting around to it part.
If you want to light a fire call Ganz at 1866 WEBKINZ. If enough call action might happen and not GANZ happens!
