Default Camino Browser Problems

Hello all,

I called Ganz about a month ago, (after Safari updated to a new version - I had used Safari in the past), to report problems I was having with my web browser. I was informed by the technician at the time that Safari web browser was not supported, and that Mac users should use not Firefox, but Camino web browser for the best game experience with WW. I downloaded Camino, and it worked great... until...

the most recent flash update. Since then, I cannot play using Camino. Everything requires a "double click." So, items in my dock won't move at all. I can click them, and they get "big," but I can't move them. I can't feed my pet, put items in my room, or fill Jumbleberry jars, etc. I am frustrated, because I had NO TROUBLE with that particular web browser.

I have problems with EVERY OTHER web browser now:

Safari: makes my dock go crazy and puts items all over my screen, plus I cannot play Spree, Crafty Canaries, WackyER Zingos, or Wacky's Log Out Carnival - I just get a white screen and get logged out when I go to any of these games.

Firefox: is the best of all of them for me so far, but today, when doing my KA classes, it wasn't working properly, and I failed my weight class - when I went to Safari, I passed no problemo.

Camino: problems listed above: must double-click on everything.

I am just extremely frustrated that NONE of the web browsers seem to work properly with WW, and it frustrates me that I downloaded Camino on Ganz's recommendation, and now it doesn't even work. AAAAAHHHHHhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I have the same problem with weight class at the KA on Firefox. The only way I can pass now is to open 4 windows to slow it down. This has happened ever since I downloaded the new flash.

I am very sorry to hear about your Camino troubles. I have always used it with no problems. I have version 2.0.9. I know whenever I update it, I don't update the flash unless I absolutely have to (the message appears everytime I update). Can you unistall Camino and then re add it without updating Flash?

I don't know, can that be done? I already have the updated flash player on my other web browsers - I am not sure if it can be separated out like that, can it?

I could have written your letter. Even down to the call to webkinz. I've been watching for someone else to complain about this. I just thought my mac computer alone was totally messed up. I'd really like camino back it was the most agreeable site for everything that I've used on webbies for the last three years.

I did call them this morning, and they said that no one had reported a problem with the Camino browser. I called them 2 weeks ago and reported it. They said the same thing you did no one else reported. but in addition to this all of the other problems reported here below on the mac servers firefox, safari and chrome with all the flash crashes and freeze ups and please waits all started at the same time. The problem began with the freeze up of the gooblin pot lock out it is only present on the webkinz site I've cleaned my computer out reloaded servers and no relief . Again I'm so glad alot f you are now reporting the problem I was going to take my computer in to see if I had caused the double click and dock movement problems.

Wow, am I glad to see this thread I have had the same exact problems on my mac. I can not use Firefox at all now. The Ads on the right overlap onto my Things to Do and I only have the top 1/2 of my dock. I have removed it and tried to download it again with no luck.

I tried Chrome and the floating dock problem and double clicking issue were way worse than on Safari.

I have not tried Camino. Which was recommended to me by a Ganz rep. also

Safari was the original reason I called Ganz. I had the floating dock issue, flash crash during intelligence class, and page going white followed by log out. I was told to use Firefox at that point. Which worked great until that infamous Adobe update. I have tried uninstalling the Flash and all browsers (except Safari, of course) All with no luck.

I am also tired of Ganz stating it does not support Safari. I have explained to them several times that there are tons of members trying to enjoy WW on macs!! Shouldn't they do something with their programming to help us out! I understand they do not control Adobe Flash, but really??

I was also told that they do have macs at Ganz for the techs to investigate issues on. I have been told to send pics of issues via e-mail to Ganz. The address escapes me right now, sorry.

I have a friend on WI who also has had all these same issues and has called also. So we are not alone and it is not our individual computer, but it is our problem it seems

By the way I am using Safari now. I deal with the dock issue by logging out and back in when it gets too crazy. The white page issue has only happened 2x in the past month as opposed to several times a day. *Sigh*
