Where i live, the stores have no new webkinz at all.
Even though i like to look over a webkinz before I buy it, amazon or ameriwade is the best place to buy new or old webkinz.
Ebay is also good.

I live in a TINY town and the closest place to me is a Cracker Barrel, Justice, and Hallmark that sale them. All these places a a good 45 minutes away. However, I m lucky because we go to Cracker Barrel nearly every Saturday. We do almost all our shopping out of town because when I say tiny, I mean we have a BiLo, a Walmart, and some great little family owned places. That's all, but I love it this way.

I have somewhat the same problem, my town is somewhat large, but no one buys webkinz, so nobody carries them. I usually just save up my money and when I travel or go on errands with my mom if I see a webkinz I want, I'll buy it.

We are in a larger town and at this point there is only one store (Green earth) that carries the newer Webkinz - all the chain stores only keep a few (if any). I am not buying any new pets but if I did it would be online.
If you get a pet and don't like it you can always resell it on ebay - often for more than you paid if you wait until they are no longer on sale in stores. Just keep the tags attached and don't use them.

The only local place to buy them here is Wm and the selection isn't very good. We found the rocker pets at a theme park we go to but they wanted $21.99 each + tax. I planned on getting the girls each a rocker pet when we went back over tomorrow. I decided to do a quick Ebay check tonight and bought a cow and a cat for $27 shipped free (just a few dollars more then one pet retail). So glad I checked before spending over $45 on the exact pets tomorrow.

Great deal - good idea to try online.
Seems that you can get lots of inexpensive older pets or very expensive newer ones - or virtual pets.
We only have one store that carries a large line of WW pets in town - and 5 years ago there were 5 different places (I remember running from one to another on WW day - remember that !)
