Default Defective Webkinz!

My kids do chores to earn money to buy Webkinz (and other things too but mostly Webkinz ). A couple of weeks ago, I found a store that had tons of them, so I stocked up to have on hand when they saved enough money. Today my daughter finally had enough to "buy" a pink poodle from me. After about an hour, she realized there was a huge hole in the belly. We could see the whole pouch full of beans, and all of the stuffing coming out. I did not save my receipt to return, and it is unlikely there are even any left at this point. Is there a way to contact Ganz, and/or will it even be worth my time? Will they do anything about it? I tried sewing it back up, but I am not a seamstress, and am worried about it falling apart again - AND it should not be like that in the first place!

We have had to 'operate' on many, before and after they sent production overseas. I think any product in this price range that is MASS produced will have issues. Sew 'er up and put a Band aid over the boo boo!

Yes! E-mail them at support@ganz.com. Someone posted in April that their son's black lab had a similar issue and they received a new plush. DD's polar bear had a hole in the head. My nephew's lion had a hole in his stomach. I sewed it up but it was very small and right along the seam. Put a bandaid on it to keep it from leaking until you get an answer.

You can sew it up. Next time, check for holes before buying a Webkinz.

My son's kitty fell apart shortly after purchase. You can't always tell before buying, although I have seen some in stores that looked iffy.

Of the several we have, only the grey and white kitty has had issues, though. I wonder if it depends on the fur style? That stringy stuff is really hard to restitch.
