First manatees don't breath on land but they do surface to breath air like a whale. I have a feeling that they will retire quickly since they (and the goldfish) are the first water dependant animals.

I think they will retire quickly because they are special and will become very valuable. But I could be wrong!

Like the cheeky dog? Gee I hope that the price will not go up like at the whimsy dragon speed. Really, I hope I get one before that... but there aren't any in my area this week.

Look at the toucan it didn't last long either, but you can still find them in the stores.

I don't think it's going to retire soon. They can stay underwater for 20 minutes and they basically spend most of their day in the water (besides surfacing) so Ganz just thought it should just stay in the water. I mean, who wants to wait for your Webkinz to go up to the surface (which would be impossible since the whole ENTIRE room is filled with water and no air) and then wait for it to go back down? That would be pretty boring. So I think they're helping us out by doing that!
