Default Caring for multiple pets ...

Hi, Everyone!

I only have one webkin -- and I've only had him for a month now, so I'm still figuring things out -- and I'm a wee bit puzzled about something. What does it cost to feed multiple pets? I'd find funding the feeding of a flock of pets a daunting task -- particularly when I see that so many of the members here have 10 ... 20 ... 50 ... or MORE pets. Also, I assume that having multiple pets on an account doesn't earn you multiple spins on the Wheels or wishes at the Well each day? I'm guessing that simply feeding a webkin for a day is 50kc or more so that seems like a lot of games to play and quizzes to take -- and buying additional rooms and furniture and stuff must make the workload even larger.

So -- and I'm just seeking some insight and perspective here not making any value judgements -- what is the realistic daily time commitment of responsibly feeding and caring for large numbers of pets?

I usually just play with one pet per day that way my food cost is not so much! Ever since the farm fresh foods came out my grocery bill has really decreased as well. Also, no you only get one time on all of the daily stuff regardless of pets. HTH!

Your other pets don't get very hungry at all when your playing with a different pet.

OH -- so the pets that don't get out of bed don't get hungry -- I didn't realize that. So then it really doesn't cost you any more for multiple pets than it costs me for one pet since you're only playing with one pet at a time? So if you don't play with a pet for a few days does he lose happy points or healthy points during the "off" days -- I was imagining that the pets started to give you some attitude after being abandoned for a week! LOL

Thanks for the insight!

I have 28 pets and two accounts. 27 on my original account and 1 on the second one. You can only play with one pet at a time, so my food intake on both accounts is about the same. If I spend more time on one account than the other, then that is the one that needs fed more. I only started the second account so I could play the "daily activities" more.

As far as the time allotment, it depends on the day. During the weekend, I am on more, while we are watching tv or my son wants to play games. I only have to be on about 30 minutes - do the daily stuff and the jobs and take care of my gardens. About 10 minutes if I really don't have time. If I miss a few days, so be it. I do find it therapeutic. It's nice to be a world without laundry, messy rooms and horrilbe bosses!

The rooms are just fun - you don't really need that many.

Go ahead and buy another and join the fun!

If they do lose points it is so few that I have never noticed. Adopt away without fears of abandoned lonely pets or fear of reprisals from them ! Also, if you want to do a ton of rooms you can but a lot of people just use the medium rooms they come with and put four beds or more in there. Good things to have are a bathtub and a treadmill or trampoline. They both really raise health and happy points you can use the clubhouse exercise room if you want though. I also save on food by making the recipes. I can feed them to any pets and they seem to raise the points as much if not more than the pet specific foods!

HAHA! No, the pets do not give you attitude! No, I have not noticed any deductions in happiness or health scores. I do check all my pets before I sign off every night - my son and I share both accounts and sometimes he plays with one and it gets hungry. It takes no time at all.

THANK YOU to all of you for clarifying things for me -- now that I understand how the "accounting" actually works, I DO think that Doobie needs a roommate!
