That is totally something I would do in my head. I get looks from people telling me I'm crazy. I am not an adult, but I'm definately old enough to not want young people I know to know I have Webkinz. I don't really care if the check out person knows its for me unless I know who it is because I'm not likely to ever see them again. (Unless I'm one of those people who goes there twice a month or calls every week to check if they're in.) I can't even say they're for my brothers because both of them are over 10. I could totally lie and say they're for my (half)sister's niece. (I've only got 2 whole brothers)

On the phone I would use the excuse at first - when I called stores looking for them. Now myself, mother, and grandmother walk proudly into stores asking for them. In fact most of those stores know us by name and set some aside for us. There you go 3 proud adult webkinzs owners and shoppers.

That's right, be proud!

I'm so hooked it's not even funny. I keep saying "that's the last for a while" but....it never seems to take. And then I think I won't register them....or I'll just register one a week. But I can't stand it. I sit there looking at the code and wondering what items might come with my new webbie. I also keep telling myself that I only need one of each, and so far I haven't broken that, but...the polar bears are so cute! I have a hard time not taking more home. I tell myself, though, that there might be a person out there hoping for a polar bear and I can't take it from them.

I don't lie at all because I work at the store where I buy most of them! lol... its a riot...my store is the only place i can openly babble about the craze...my family is starting to look at me like i'm crazy...I have regulars who call the store and ask me what time the rare is coming out that day.......sometimes the parents look at me a little funny when their child is debating between a couple webkinz and i can rattle off the exclusive items that come with them to see if that will help make or break the decision but it doesn't matter......i love being able to talk about the new items all day!

Well, i got started when our little nieces got us a white rabbit (they each have one too) for easter. I didnt adopt it right away, actually it sat for a week before the phone calls were enough to get me to actually log on to webkinz and begin what i thought would be a boring adoption process only to be followed by a waste of time.

HAHA! man, i dont remember the last time i was so wrong! I adopted the rabbit, named her "BunnyWunnyDoodle" thinking it was funny. Then i was supposed to start making dinner for my husband while he was gone, but sheesh, - it pulled me in right away!! One of the nieces kept calling wanting me to come visit her house, all while im trying to figure out how to cook flank steak! (i'm a new wife!!). Then while it was in the oven, i called her back and we got so engulfed in her house and me learning to play games that i over cooked the meat and it was real tough!! lol (dont worry, hubby loved it anyways lol)

After all that i've never put the laptop down since i learned about the feeding and decoration; and earning kinz cash was my new fixation. Staying on quizzys for hours at a time to get "the better pool" or that "certain bathtub"!! lol

Now my hubby is into it to and he'll play color storm and earn me lots of money! We've earned up to 12,000kc over a few weeks of no-spending! (back down to $100 now, ahh!)

So, to answer the immediate question, i have never lied when he takes me for a new webby! I usualy walk in and bee line for them, and the ladyies always talk to us and show us every other webkinz related item available! haha

My daughters also love the plush pets. They split mine evenly because they feel bad that I don't play with my pets offline. We got a golden retriever from a trading card, and they were like, "Bleh, whatever, you keep it." I guess a pet on a trading card isn't as fun to play with as a stuffed animal. (I'm satisfied with it, though...)

LOL--I cover up the evidence by saying its for a sister or little cousin, as I don't have any kids.
