Date introduced: December 18, 2009 Update on Filled Jumbleberry Jars: February 5th 2010, karybear and beekay are the first reported members to fill up their Jars, and randomly awarded a prize from the prize list received by feeding berries directly to your pet. To read more, click HERE How to play:
Jumbleberry Fields is a game which resembles Yahtzee.
A player rolls a dice that has 10 sides, and they get to roll up to 3 times to complete scoring from 9 categories. The higher the score you achieve, the more berries you will receive. The dice face:
3 sides = Jumbleberry
3 sides = Sugarberry
2 sides = Pickleberry
1 side = Moonberry
1 side = Pest Scoring:
2 points each time a Jumbleberry or Sugarberry is used in a group
4 points each time a Pickleberry is used in a group
7 points each time a Moonberry is used in a group
The maximum possible score is 237 points
Comprising of: 10 + 10 + 20 + 22 + 35 + 35 + 35 + 35 + 35 = 237 This group would be worth 10 points (category Jumbleberry)
This group would be worth 10 points (category Sugarberry) This would be worth 20 points (category Pickleberry) This would be worth 35 points
(categories: Moonberry, Basket of 3, Basket of 4, Basket of 5, Free Roll) This would be worth 22 points (category Mixed Basket) This would be worth 0 points (but this is the only way to earn the High Roller Badge)
Thank you to SchmoopiePie and forum members for recording the scoring, I've converted this into a chart which can be found by clicking this Googles doc link (the spreadsheet is getting too big to manage on this post). CLICK HERE
Thank you to grapecrush for her observations on the berry variations and points range to help get this chart up to date: (last updated 25th Jan 2010):
After you've completed today's play (you can play once a day), you will receive berries in your dock which you may either feed to your pet, or save them and pop them into the jars of preserves. Should you choose to feed your pet - you may receive a prize. Should you preserve your berries and fill up your jar, you will win a prize when its filled up, but the prize is currently unknown. The berries cannot be Kinzposted.
Thank you to elefancy for pointing out that if you buy the My Preserves Shelf from the wShop for 350 KC - place the shelf in your room, and you can access all four preserves jar any time - ie you can fill the jar when you feel like it because once you exit out the game it won't let you back in on the same day. Thank you to Imalismom for letting us know the Berries can be sold at the wShop:
Thank you to the WI members who have been posting their Jumbleberry Fields prizes, you'll find your images on Post #2 - please feel free to post your strategies, and add your prizes to this thread if you don't see it listed here.
