Title says it....no matter what you do, they will not get past 80% happiness....they drop almost as soon as they do. And you can't get to the party stage if you can't get to 100%! | | | 11-10-2009, 11:32 AM | #2 | Happy Holidays! Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 8,487 | Re: Zumbuddies~no parties, happiness drops at 80% I have also been unable to achieve a party with my Zums since they changed the programming. I have 6 Zums on an American account.
I was able to get one up to 86% happiness (but only one and only one time). The happiness stayed at 86% for less than a minute. It then dropped drastically. The happiness drops sometimes for no reason at all from 3-10 points (I have heard of other people saying that their Zums drop even more than this), just to be followed by more drops in happiness even when you give them what they are asking for. I also noticed that sometimes if I want to drop a toy on one Zum in the room, if my mouse goes over another Zum while I still have the mouse button pressed down (before I drop the toy on the other Zum), then the Zum where the mouse just went over gets the NO circle above its head and his happiness drops drastically.
I was playing yesterday until my Zum dock was empty. I bought one of each item for them (toys and food) with some extra of the food that looks like a melon. I spent 933 Kinzcash. The Zum dock was empty again 32 minutes later. That is a very high price to pay for 32 minutes worth of playing time, especially since 933 Kinzcash worth of items doesn't get you a Zum party!
What also needs to be done by Ganz:
They need to put out an instruction manual that includes the following information: how many Zums can go in a room at a time; what do the faces above the Zums' heads mean; what does the musical note mean; how come we don't get a room for our 6th Zum; why can't we name our Zum rooms; why do they show a room that has blue and purple walls and floors in their video if all we get are rooms that look identical; how do you throw a party... etc. (How can we get a Peeking Zum room if the Peeking Zum was the 6th Zum we entered?--there are 6 types of Zums, yet we don't get 6 rooms).
They also need to change some of the amounts of blue zummies that are needed for the prizes (or have the Zums give us a lot more blue zummies) since every prize except one requires a lot more blue zummies. | | | 11-10-2009, 03:09 PM | #4 | Da Vinci Gifted Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 158 | Re: Zumbuddies~no parties, happiness drops at 80% I agree to everything that has been said, until they make some adjustments ,zumbuddies aren't worth the kinzcash or the time. | | | 11-10-2009, 03:22 PM | #5 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 3,399 | Re: Zumbuddies~no parties, happiness drops at 80% my giggly zum is like that it is so annoying | | | 11-10-2009, 07:46 PM | #7 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Aug 2009 Posts: 257 | Re: Zumbuddies~no parties, happiness drops at 80% I totally agree with the above statements. However, I have not been able to get my 6 zumbuddies over 76%. They are very hard to please. I miss the parties. Yes we do need a guide to tell us more about them esspecially what the faces mean. I have had the same problem with giving my zum a requested item and the other giving a no sign, and on many cases when I do give them a requested item their happiness drops. I was going to buy a set for my other account, but with the way it is going I am not going to do that. It is too expensive in real money and kinz cash to take care of the little ones. My daughters even quit playing with theirs because of not being able to throw a party and it costing too much kinz cash to keep them happy. I think they are adorable, but they are not worth the time, effort, kinzcash or real cash right now.

I put it on my youngest daughter's account with the thought that I would learn how to play with the Zum (Zool) and then introduce her to that area of the Forest when I had everything worked out. Since today was the first day I entered the pet, I have never experienced the party.
Well - not only am I discouraged about how EXPENSIVE it is in Kinzcash to keep the little guy happy, as everyone else mentioned, it is almost impossible to get the happiness over 80% and keep it there for a few minutes before it drops down to the low 70's. I am sure I will never see a party.
So now I have all these Zums for my kids and I am not even sure I want them to enter the codes. There is no way they have enough kinzcash to support a Zum and the dropping happiness will disturb them probably more than me.
I am pretty sure that I am not going to enter more codes until this is worked out. If it isn't worked out, I will probably just give them the plushes and never enter the codes.
I don't know Ganz. This one just isn't as fun as it should be. Reminds me of the first 5 days of ghost hunting. | | | 11-10-2009, 08:55 PM | #9 | I'm a Lazy Zum Gift Guru Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 8,071 | Re: Zumbuddies~no parties, happiness drops at 80% I'm quoting shellwcross's very helpful post from the zumbuddy guide thread: Originally Posted by shellwcross Why you cannot get a party now!!!! Once you get to 74% happiness, every 3 minutes you lose 3% happiness for no reason at all. Also, once you reach 74% happiness toys only up you 1% . (Food for all I could see gave 0% happiness, only zummies occationally.) Your zum plays with each toy for 30 seconds, so the most you could give it in 3 minutes is 6 toys. You will not be able to do this, as you need time to choose the next toy, or find the one the zum asks for (this drops you to about 5 toys). Then time is also taken by receiving zummies and feeding your zum (that drops you to 4 toys). So, in 3 minutes you earn 4% happiness and then lose 3% happiness. That means you are likely to only gain 1% happiness every 3 minutes. So, if you are lucky enough not to upset your zum, which usually drops you some 7 or 8%, then you could have a party (once you have reach 74%, which actually happens very quickly) every 1.3 hours.
The likely hood of not upsetting your zum somewhere along the line is slim. And the more zums in the room, the less likely you are to gain that 1% every 3 minutes. As it takes time to get them all toys, so the more zums you have - the less likely you are to have any parties at all.
During this test, I played with 1 zum and yielded 52 zummies in 25 minutes. I spent 258KC, which means each zummie cost me 4.96KC. | | | 11-10-2009, 09:18 PM | #10 | I Rocks!! Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 23,302 | Re: Zumbuddies~no parties, happiness drops at 80% That's helpful, but still verifies to me that no one is getting to 100%. I played tonight for over an hour, which no normal little kid will have the patience for, and got my one that I concentrated on alone up to 85% before it started dropping, and never upset it. I never got the amount of zummies shell did. It's very difficult and time consuming and kc consuming the way it is now. Not asking for easy, but no real reward for the time put in, that's disappointing, especially for a kid. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
