These are examples only, and not intended to capture every type of game that might be allowed or started here. For more information on ensuring your game will be allowed, please read the Game Rules HERE. Taking Turns One person makes a statement, the next person has to respond or add to that statement according to the game rules created by the owner. Example: Game owner asks a question, such as “Do you want a Cheeky Cat?” Player two: “No, I don’t like orange. Do you want a Signature Golden Retriever?” Player three: “Yes, I love those! Do you want an Alley Cat?” The game owner might ask that you write a rhyme, a sentence with a prescribed number of words, a haiku, or some other creation to enter the game. Example: Write a haiku about going back to school. (“Haiku” poems are three lines, with five syllables in the first like, seven in the second line, and five in the third line.) “School started this week I like class, but not homework I work too hard now!” Stories The game owner starts a story with a single statement, and each poster following that statement builds on the story. This isn’t role playing, and threads that become role playing will be deleted. Some ways to ensure your story doesn't cross over into role playing is to require that each participant add only one line, or to limit the number of words each person can post at a time. It can be fun and challenging to see what kind of story you can create with limited words. Example: Game owner starts with, “JacksMom went to the beach today.” Player two: “It was hot, but she had plenty of cold drinks in her picnic basket.” Player three: “But when she opened the basket, someone kicked sand into it!” . ______________________________________________
As stated above, these are just examples of possible games you might create and play here. You're only limited by the rules and your imagination. Have fun! Last edited by JacksMom; 08-23-2009 at 08:36 PM.. |
