I have to disagree with this.

Think this price guide:

Justice: $16.50 for a plushie

Hallmark: $14.99 for a plushie

E-store: $12.50

See a price difference? Plus it elminates having to find storage for all your webbies which will help me alot

For some families, the $45 is a hardship.

Yes, if you have the money, it can be a good deal.
Especially if you can be patient and save your monthly points
and use then for virtual pets or even to offset next year's purchase.

My daughter saved money from gifts to get hers, and has been very
selective in point purchases.

One thing that may help is if there are several friends who play - then
they could split the membership cost. Five friends would pay $9 each.
They could use the points split to buy little things like charms to open
the mire or forest. Or one or two girls could "buy" the points by paying
a little more....
$9 might be something each girl could save by extra chores or from an
allowance, so they don't bother their parents for the $$$.

When that "something real" is just pointless clutter stuffed animal some people don't care about it and prefer Ganz eStore. It's good for everyone to have choices since we are all different with different preference. Personally prefer eStore pet and love Deluxe. . :cdee:

I was just thinking today how expensive the virtual pets are. Some of them are very cute and it is hard to resist. Just can't justify nearly 13 dollars and no plushie. It is like buying the code tag for the same price as a plush. It is totally understandable about the 8 foot high plush pile though. I would much rather have "some" online only pets. If you didn't get a virtual pet with each plush you buy, then I could see that being worth it. Like another pet site only gave you vrtual items codes when you bought the stuffed pets. But, since we do get virtual pets with each pet we buy, it would make sense that the virtual only pets should be around half the price so around maybe 8 dollars or give something extra to make up for the plush you don't get. Like an extra set of items that you can only get by adopting online pets. Offer an extra something to make up for not getting a plush. Also maybe OPOTM (Online Pet of the Month) activities and extras.
