Way Too Expensive

The Ganz eStore acts like our parents have money to add eStore points to our eStore accounts each time something comes out. Like the pets there cost TOOexpensive! Who agrees? Like SERIOUSLY!!!

Thank you so much for this post. I'm a parent who is struggling financially and I'm glad you understand and realize how very expensive the Estore can be. When you are not getting an actual physical product, it's hard to justify spending that kind of money.

I understand how you feel, & in some ways I can even agree. I'm a parent & my child wants all the new stuff. It just isn't possible to buy everything. There is too much coming out too fast for us to keep up. My problem is a little different. None of the local stores sell Webkinz anymore. To get my child a plush toy I have to drive almost 100 miles round trip or order from an online store & pay an extra shipping fee. The estore isn't for everyone, but when my child brings home a really great report card & wants her reward NOW, it is nice to be able to have that choice. I certainly do respect your position & hope you can understand mine. Sometimes, for us it is simply the best choice.

Definitely way too expensive, although the pets i think are a fair price.
I have to put my own points in my account. And I can't afford it.

I think it's too expensive. Everything should be really cheap, since all you're getting is a picture on the internet. I can get REAL plush Webkinz for less $$$ than what they charge for a PICTURE.

I agree. My retailers are getting worse and worse about keeping new items in stock, and more of them seem to not sell them anymore. It takes a drive over a mountain range for me to find the ones I want!

I like a lot of the creative webkinz and items that are available through the estore, so I think it's a good option. I understand that not everyone has money to spend.....but that is usually the case in life. Rarely as children, or adults, do we have the money to spend on everything we want. We simply have to make choices, and eat Top Ramen for a year because we decided to buy a Cheeky Cat off of ebay. Oops, sorry, that's just my experience.

Bottom line, Ganz is a business, and a smart business. If all the big corporations could be as innovative as they are, we'd probably all be doing a lot better right now.

I agree with you completely. My family is having a very hard time financially right now (haven't gotten a new webkinz in months), so in our case it would be hard to, as my parents say, "throw away" money when we are getting something that will never exist out of the computer and will one day just expire when I stop liking webkinz.

For some people, the estore makes perfect sense, being able to get your items then and there and not having to drive or keep up with plushies. For others, they can't accept that the money is paying for pixels.

You just to remember, that in the end, Ganz is a company, and companies want $$$. The e-store is basically a massive source of free income, as they don't have to pay to make and ship the plush to stores. They also make the e-store items, and deluxe things, better than anything normally offered, so we will cave and buy it.

Ganz is just a smart company, and even though the e-store makes us mad, as long as it pays off, it stays.

You are welcome all parents that are struggling with plushies and that you understand when everything new comes out you can't keep adding eStore Points and that you have to drive MILES to get a plushie. Again I accept your thank you that you understand these hard terms.

I agree I think the estore pets could definately be made cheaper considering there is no plush with the purchase. I think $7.50 would be much more reasonable. Ganz is only creating pixels after all.
