Default No, not venting, but I found something on the Webkinz site that could maybe be interesting... Would you help me on this? (About the e store)

Look what I found on the website...

"
Over the past few months we have seen a rise in the number of members who have been selling and auctioning off online items (such as pet specific items and exclusive items) and even whole Webkinz accounts.

We want to make it very clear that these practices are in direct violation of our User Agreement and are strictly forbidden. Any account used in the selling of online items or listed for sale or auction will be terminated, without notice, at our discretion. We are very serious about stopping this activity.

Note that this includes the practice of claiming that the virtual item sold is "free", while selling something of little value.

Members are free to conduct in-world trades of Webkinz World items as they choose, but for no outside compensation of any kind, financial or otherwise. Trading through KinzPost is not secure though and we do not recommend the practice. We will be adding a secure item-for-item trading feature to Webkinz World in the coming months.

We recognize that many items in Webkinz World are hard to come by and that trading may seem difficult, but we must ask that all members abide by the User Agreement and keep all item exchanges within Webkinz World itself."

Im not very smart when it comes to words... but the first two paragraphs... are they trying to say that selling virtual items for real money is bad? well, theyre doing that...

then, i was looking over the third paragraph and it said

Note that this includes the practice of claiming that the virtual item sold is "free", while selling something of little value. well, um... i know this is probably wrong, but what about them selling the lip gloss? its of little value, and you get a "free" virtual item...

and, it said
Members are free to conduct in-world trades of Webkinz World items as they choose, but for no outside compensation of any kind, financial or otherwise. well, what about the e store???

Forgive me if im wrong please, i don't really know if any of this stuff im saying is right... sorry.

What they are actually trying to say is that they hold all the legal rights to the virtual items and that you purchase a license to use those items when you buy a webkinz item, but that license does not include the right to resell a virtual item once you have activiated it. They can sell it because they created it, but consumers can only purchase a license to use it. I hope that makes sense.

the estore does not technically sell webkinz world items. things that come through the estore are developed to be used "in" webkinz world, but is not "from" webkinz world. it is totally new items.

Since Ganz has made the items, they have the right to sell them at a fair market value. They say that to stop 3rd parties from selling items such as a red or purple lava for hundreds of dollars. Their product they have to right to sell it, no one else does.
