I'm a big fan of the eStore, especially it's virtual pets; they're very unique, something very special their other webbies don't have (well, until the ribbon unicorn and blufadoodle come out). I love to buy the pets, they're really imaginative and that's what WW is all about, to me at least, but there's one thing I REALLY dislike about the eStore.
The fact that they changed it over to the "points" system. I understand why they did it, I think anyway, for the Deluxe users, so they can get their monthly eStore reward, which wouldn't really work with dollar values, but what they really messed up was the denominations you can purchase. 10, 20, 30 etc. etc., no in between values. So now, if I just want to buy a pet, I have to buy the 20 dollars worth of points, and waste 7.50 that I could be using for food or gas or something else. I think that's just silly and a poor marketing strategy on Ganz's part. I know I'll probably end up buying another pet sometime in the future, and I'd need the points then, but what if I don't want to spend that money now? It's just not right to be "forced" into spending that extra money.
I think you should be able to buy the exact, or near exact (like 15,000 points for 15 so you can get a virtual pet instead of 20,000), amount of points, like you used to could when it was dollar amounts.
I'm not Ganz's biggest fan, but I obviously still buy into what they do since I keep buying their products, but they've really discourage me on the eStore and I think twice as much about whether or not I want to spend my money there anymore. __________________

Think of it like this. You usually don't like the Estore, but you fall in love with the Sabertooth Tiger, and you buy 20 dollars worth in Estore points. You have 750 points left over, and you decide to save them. A month later, you hear that the Purple Monster is coming back. You still have that 750 points left over, and you think " I might as well spend these points ", and you deposit another $20. Then, the whole cycle continues all over again... __________________ Hey there WI! I've got a new Poll for you to vote on! New Avvie! It sounds like a good idea, and it might be, but there's also a downside to it. Think of all the people that pass up buying at the eStore because they have a budget and can't afford to put a full $20 into it just to buy a pet. I know if I wasn't fully in love with the Trick-or-Treat Troll, I would not be purchasing it, for sure, because that extra 7.50 could be put to much better use than some silly extra piece of furniture. They might be getting extra money, but they're losing customers too. __________________

And a $12.50 option. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
