Ganz - NOT your greatest idea . . .

I am all for change. Change is good and it is constant. I think it is fabulous that Ganz would come out with a fresh new (boys) clothing ensemble. HOWEVER, I do not believe the new cap turned sideways, chain hanging from jeans pixel outfit is appropriate for a website both geared towards and frequented by children. The vast majority of school age children cannot attend school, places of worship, nor community social events wearing an outfit such as one that portrays a ‘gangsta’. In some locations across our world, students are expelled from schools for wearing items such as those!

As a virtual (children’s) business Ganz, thank you for always catering to the children with the fun wide-range, “something-for-everyone” approach, however, you have a responsibility to those children and accountability to their parents. Won’t you please consider more appropriate new (eStore) clothing designs in the future? Maybe something appealing to the masses, such as (licensed) baseball teams, football teams, basketball teams, hockey teams.

not to be mean but I AM GLAD here are no annoying "licensed" sport team crud here-way too much of that useless garbage in evryday life as it is. as for the "inapprpiate clothing" most places in the world would love the freedom to be able to choose their own clothing & not have to wear what a small minority approves of

Toricutie- I do not believe you are ‘being mean’, I welcome and respect your thoughts in any reference to a posting I have placed.

I simply wish to see a GANZ revise (the introduction) this style of clothing, and certainly do not want to express my opinion without offering a suggestion or alternative; that to me would be unprofessional and rude! While team apparel may not be the brightest suggestion, I am simply offering an alternative to this recent distasteful line of clothing.

As far as businesses having the freedom- yes, who wouldn’t love that?! However, in our real world - businesses do have a moral responsibility.
I just don’t want to see this clothing style get further out of hand and view other inappropriate items in the future!

I think it is a wonderful idea. Not everyone dresses the same way, and while kids may not be able to go to school dressed in that manner, a lot of people dress like that when they are on their own time. I prefer my jeans to be baggy and I wear them low. Granted, I am careful not to show my underwear, but I don't think that the way I wear my jeans on my off days from work make me any less professional when I am at work. Also I do not consider myself 'gangsta' or 'ghetto' for doing so, it is how I feel comfortable. I think we need to be careful of saying that something is 'gangsta' or 'ghetto' classifying things in such a manner is a very slippery slope.

i believe the very slippery slope here is what this new trend might bring. the webkinz clothing has always been respectful, while still providing sports, skater, fantasy, and regular everyday kids clothes. what my fear is what this new trend may bring on. and honestly, estore items are a cash cow for ganz. they know kids are going to beg there parents for this outfit. if ganz really was looking for a new theme of clothing it would have gone to the wshop or curio shop. and i certainly would not want to see this turned into real or webkinz clothing for the real world. isn't there enough stuff like that out there? i am all for individuality. i would never want clothing in the everyday world to be censored although sometimes it's very inappropriate. i just don't want webkinz to start looking like some noname 11 1/2 dolls out there who are wildly age inappropriate. webkinz has always been so wholesome, making it very popular with parents who don't allow other toys (such as those dolls) webkinz is so mainstream that these kids feel like they belong. unlike when they have some not so well known toys. i just hope this doesn't open a porthole to other items that some parents may find offensive

I think it's cute, and that maybe seeing it in an inappropriate way is taking the matter too heavily. I mean, it's just for fun. No one's wearing it to church.

As long as they don't introduce outfits for female webkinz that are um... enticing to men... then I am fine with the new casual clothes!
I am in college and baggy jeans and backwards caps are among the more tasteful outfits I see on campus some days!
