See for me, the idea of the e-store is fine. I choose not to buy from it, but others can, whatever floats your boat.
It's the way the e-store run that bothers me. There are still lots of new plush webbies, but not as many new exclusives/rares/w-shop. I tihnk that we pay for the website, so there should be more updates avalible for those who simply want to have an account with maybe one webkinz.
Also, I wish some of these e-store pets would be realesed as plush too! It could be done, and I would certainly buy some of them! Some of them are very creative, and I'm not sure if it's cost that causes them to not realese them in plush, but I wish they would. (Still, Ganz' choice on what they make.)
There's my two cents....feel free to agree, disagree, elaborate upon or anything you like. | | | 09-16-2009, 09:23 AM | #22 | Gift Guru Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 1,661 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! I agree that the eStore needs to be adjusted. I feel badly for small children whose parents aren't crazy about them spending money on Webkinz in the first place. I can imagine how it must feel when these children see the awesome eStore items (which are a lot better than the WW items, IMO) and think they will never be able to enjoy those cool things because their parents won't offer the credit card to get any of them.
Also, I think there should be some kind of return policy on items purchased, or we should be able to sell or trade them for KC or eStore points. Case in point: last year the eStore offered a garden pool. We purchased one and built a backyard patio around it. This year they released an actual swimming pool which is a lot better. Well, we learned our lesson because now we can't get rid of the 'garden pool' even though we want the other swimming pool, so we're not springing for another one. The same goes for the rollercoaster from last year, when the Deluxe one from this year is way better. How do you get rid of the earlier one? You're stuck with it.
Why couldn't GANZ allow us to return for points or at least sell to the W-Shop? They're only pixels, it's not like GANZ has to deal with a warehouse full of unwanted inventory.
Also, now they are offering floor/wall combos. Since we are paying for these, they should be able to be pulled up out of rooms and put back into the dock if we want to move the room somewhere else. There have been MANY times that we at home have had to move rooms around because of adding pets or items. There's absolutely NO way our family is going to buy a floor/wall combo no matter how nice it looks, because once it's down in a room, we're stuck with it there.... so forget it, GANZ. | | | 09-26-2009, 02:51 PM | #23 | Jeffree Star<3 Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 936 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! thank you EVERYONE for the replies! | | | 09-26-2009, 03:05 PM | #24 | Supfcallyfuzzy bunny Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 5,116 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! I know what you mean. I mean, I love everything on the estore and stuff, but it's way overpriced. I mean 7 dollars for a couch made out of pixels? I think they should lower the price, and make it easier to get estore points than just buying. | | | 09-26-2009, 03:37 PM | #25 | Jeffree Star<3 Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 936 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! thanks for posting!! | | | 09-26-2009, 03:40 PM | #26 | Gifted Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 14,458 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! Sometimes I think that.... But then I think, "Oh, I've purchased alot from the eStore! I should like it!" Which makes me like it more. | | | 09-26-2009, 03:42 PM | #27 | Jeffree Star<3 Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 936 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! Yeah! Good thinking. Being positive always helps!
I haven't purchased too too much but a decent amount. I just want GANZ to add some awesome stuff to Webkinz and NOT the eStore. >.> | | | 09-26-2009, 04:10 PM | #28 | Gifted Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 645 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! I never liked the Estore a single bit... Buying virtual stuff for real cash. Buying a Webkinz gives you a plush. Buying the merchandise gives you the merchandise... But the idea of kids needing to beg their parents to buy them virtual stuff on a credit card is absolutely wrong. I don't think it should be encouraged to spend money on virtual-only-stuff... it's not a lesson I'd want my kids to learn at least.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone who loves the Estore, but it's how I feel. | | | 09-26-2009, 04:37 PM | #29 | bonsly67 Gift Guru Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 6,505 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! I don't like the E-Store, it was a horrible idea in the first place. They should have made those items in the E-Store exclusive or rare items. | | | 09-26-2009, 04:46 PM | #30 | ℓσѕт ιη ѕтєяєσ <3 Gift Guru Join Date: May 2007 Posts: 39,254 | Re: eStore gone OVERBOARD?! I agree with everyone here. What 5 year old is going to understand when all their friends have eStore items, and he/she doesn't. He/She is going to go home and beg for an eStore item, sadly to get disappointed when their parent(s) say no. They should have drawings on Webkinz, like once a month for points. They should actually put in an eStore wheel, so when you spin it, you have a chance of winning a special item.
And Deluxe Memberships for sale...don't even get me started. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
