Can they gift any amount of points to anyone? Any minimum transfer (or max)?

Let's say that you haven't activated any new Webkinz or spent any of the points. On your last day of Deluxe Membership, you buy 3 eStore pets and activate one of them. Then you have 2 more. So, you get all the Deluxe benefits for 1 year for 5 accounts, extending their expiration, then an additional 3 years of WW access (from the eStore pets) for $45. Put it all together, it's technically 9 years of WW for $45...
Hmmmm, I wonder if Ganz has thought this far into it..... The thing is...I don't know how many of the Estore fanatics will be able to hold off on not adopting Estore pets for a whole 2 years.
(I know I couldn't ). | | | 04-02-2009, 04:08 PM | #13 | --pls. ask-- Gift Guru Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 9,360 | Re: Deluxe Membership Breakdown Originally Posted by Me2Me2 I would really like to know more about transferring points to other people- can you combine accounts if someone makes you a gift account? (I know I couldn't ). that's probably what they are hoping for. we could hold off. been considering the Tinkerpup for months now! | | | 04-02-2009, 04:09 PM | #14 | So this is love Gift Guru Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 5,090 | Re: Deluxe Membership Breakdown Ok, Redbear - here is another breakdown for you (and some credit goes to Me2me2 since she was the first to post this.) This is a great breakdown for those just looking to buy Estore pets, but not anything else from the Estore.
*Disclaimer - This only works if a)Estore points don't expire, and b)you must have the patience.
So I absolutely love the Estore pets. I think I need to cut back a bit, but I still plan to buy the super cool ones (which will probably be mostly holiday).
My problem is that I can no longer pay $12.50; I would have to pay $20 upfront. I am not planning to buy any charms or items. Here I have a few options:
Option A: Pay $20 upfront to buy the first pet, then pay $10 to cover the cost of the second. As Me2Me2 pointed out, $50 breaks even exactly for 4 pets, so by paying $20, $10, $10, and $10 in increments, I will break even for four pets. Total cost over a period of time: $50= 4 pets Option B: I could also pay $50 upfront and then would not have to pay when the new Estore pets actually come out. (I like that - just one simple transaction from the CC.) I will definitely be able to stretch the $50 for a few months or even longer, and I am positive that Ganz will produce at least 4 Estore pets that I like within the year. Total cost upfront: $50= 4 pets Option C: Buy an annual FAMILY deluxe membership for $45 and receive 8,000 Estore points upfront. Pay an additional $10 for 10,000 Estore points, and I've got myself 18000 points, enough to buy either the spring celebration bunny or the griffin (not such a difficult choice, since the griffin will return while the bunny won't). Then I've got to wait for the montly 3000 monthly points to accrue so I can buy another pet. Total cost upfront: $55= 4 pets + deluxe membership for up to 5 accounts
Here is the monthly breakdown for the earliest possible you could buy a pet (for those who are impatient like me):
April 2009- 8000 points (from $45 deluxe family membership) + 10000 (from paying $10)=18000
Get one pet=> Total points left from month=5500 May 2009-3000 points (from membership, already paid for) + 5500 (left over from April)
Not enough points to get pet=>Total points at end of month= 8500 June 2009-3000 points (membership) + 8500 (left over)
Still not enough points to get pet=>Total points at end of month=11500 July 2009-3000 points + 11500
Get one pet, or wait for Halloween=>Total points at end of month=2000 August 2009-3000 points + 2000 points
Can't get pet=>Total points at end of month=5000 September 2009-3000 + 5000
Can't get pet=>Total points at end of month=8000 October 2009- 3000 + 8000
Can't get pet unless did not buy 2nd pet in July, so no Halloween pet=>Total=11000 November 2009- 3000 + 11000
Get one pet, or wait until Christmas holidays=>Total points at end of month=1500 December 2009- 3000 + 1500
Total=4500 January 2010-3000 + 4500
Total=7500 February 2010-3000 + 7500
Total=10500 March 2010-3000 + 10500
Can get pet (although too late for Valentine's pet, unless did not buy 3rd pet yet)=>Total=1000 left over
Option D: Buy annual INDIVIDUAL deluxe membership, then pay $10 for 10000 points. Same as above, except at the end you will need just 1000 points to buy your last pet. Maybe a good friend who has a family membership would share. Total cost upfront: $55= 4 pets + membership for one account Last edited by sydney88; 04-02-2009 at 04:11 PM.. | | | 04-02-2009, 05:11 PM | #15 | --pls. ask-- Gift Guru Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 9,360 | Re: Deluxe Membership Breakdown wow, thanks for all that math! | | | 04-02-2009, 05:15 PM | #16 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 368 | Re: Deluxe Membership Breakdown Great post Redbear. Yes, after I did the math this morning i ended up buying a membership b/c I do buy most estore pets so it made sense for me.
When I did open my deluxe gift box I got a wshop item (automotive barrier) and was bummed. It specificaly states on the membership details that you will get an article of clothing. So I am going to put in a call to GAnz.
I will be checkign back to see what the estore rep tells you on your list of questions. | | | 04-02-2009, 05:17 PM | #17 | --pls. ask-- Gift Guru Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 9,360 | Re: Deluxe Membership Breakdown Originally Posted by harfia Great post Redbear. I'm gonna need some coffee to wake me up and make the numbers compute though...I went ahead and bought the Family membership (me + four kids) and gonna play around with what we get. So far (4 presents opened) everyone has gotten a Kinzstyle outfit piece as the third gift!!! | | | 04-02-2009, 06:59 PM | #20 | Gift Trainee Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 78 | Re: Deluxe Membership Breakdown & Info Thread I just got a family account about 30 minutes ago. I was under the impression that each account that you registered you got 3000 e store points. This doesn't appear to be the case. We only got 8000 e store points on our family account. We all got the hat and the gift, but two of the gifts were from the w shop. I thought it was suppose to be a kinz style item. One account got soccer wallpaper and another got a baseball shelf. Ok so one item was Curio Shop, but what happened to the kinz style items? I'm not sure I really like this and now I can't even get one e pet out of this membership unless I wait 2 months or break down and spend $10.00 more and get the e store bunny. Right now I'm not really that crazy about it. I could really care less about anything except the e store pets. I read the details and even asked my husband if he understood it and he said it reads that you get 5,000 points and than each account up to 5 gets 3,000 e store points. Just letting everyone know this is not the case. Just in case anyone misunderstands like I did.
