Welcome to the Webkinz Rally Walkthrough!

This guide will go over everything gathered this far. This is a joint work in progress.

Congratulations to JBONE92 for being the first WI Member to beat the game!

Ripped straight from the front page!

JBONE92 reports that there are 10 areas you must go through in order to cross the final finish line. With a high score of 14,835, he was able to make it through all levels with a pet who had 2 stars for jumping, 2 stars for top speed and 9 stars for handling.

MNBert adds that those categories correspond to the following classes in the Academy:
Car choices = Fashion
Jumping = Strength
Top Speed = Speed
Handling = Agility

General Instructions

From the game itself. Here are the provided instructions.







Controls:

These are very simple

Up - Must Hold down this in order to move. If you let go your car will lose speed.
Left - Move Car Left
Right - Move Car Right
Down - Brakes / Slow Down
Space Bar - Jumps the car Note! There is a known bug that occasionally occurs where you cannot jump. If this is the case use another webkinz.

Obstacles

Grass - Patches of grass line the course, running over them will slow you down. You can jump these.
Dirt - Patches of dirt similar to the grass, with slightly less slow down.
Signs - These block you path and completely stop you, try to avoid these at all costs. These cannot be jumped over.

Tools / Powerups

Springs - Purple dots will occasionally be found lying on the floor. Run over these to leap high into the air! Clearing many obstacles below.

"Wheels of Speed" - Temporary gives you a speed boost. Wears off quickly usually only lasting 1 - 2 seconds.

Statistics / What to focus on? / KinzAcademy - Time to start hitting the track! Or... maybe.... books?

Going to school in Webkinz World has just added another bonus! The higher you are ranked in various different classes will affect your car's performance and even unlock extra car options!

So, in my opinion get your jump up to about 3, top speed as high as you can and handling maybe to 4 or 5 should be able to beat it ( if you're reaaaally good at games ) once you hit about 5, 6, or 7 Speed.

Tip: Remember to jump! Don't try to weave around a whole lot, with exception to level 3 those little grass piles are all over the place and when you jump you will usually find yourself landing back in it and then running into another. Level 3 seems to work best but weaving around them and jumping rarely when you don't think you can weave around them in time. It takes focus, concentration and MASSIVE amounts of hand-eye coordination. Good Luck and let's all hope for that trophy!

Ok with my 2 stars ( across the board ) driver I was STILL able to clear 3 grass piles at full speed, now at a slower speed I could only clear 2 of them, so that's possibly where the difference comes from. I didn't try to run to see how far I could get, and it wouldn't really matter since Toby and Sonny are 100% better then her....

So for Jumping i'd say 3 - 4 should be good enough to get you through!

- You keep rolling once Timer hits 0, so keep on going if you see the flag!

NOTE: See how my time is at 0? Well this is a key to completing the game. Once time hits 0, your game does not end. Your car rolls for a little more distance. That is how I beat it both times.

Here is a picture of the checkered flag. I counted 9 flags, so that means there are 10 different areas you must pas through to get through the end.



By the way, my high score for this game is 14,835

- The Silver Coins and Gold Coins seem to be just for points. As the trophy is unobtainable at this point this cannot be denied or confirmed.

And All the coins do I believe is give you extra points, which ultimately lead to more kc. However, there is a slight possibility they have something to do with the trophy.

Just wanted to share a tip from my son-- when you run out of time and gas in Webkinz Rally, if you hold the jump button, your car will continue to jump for a few more seconds. I tried it, and it actually does seem to get you farther than you would get if you just coast to a stop. My son has used it to get past the checkpoint several times when he's almost there, but time runs out.

Try it and let us know if it works for you.

The Trophy

The trophy exists but as the game is bugged and errors upon completion this is all the information we have about it.

Exoteric took a look at the game's programming and discovered this information about the trophy.

And, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news about the trophy not being kinzpostable. The way I know thiis, I can look at the programming, similar to the images I get for the spoilers.

So, here's what's in the game programming itself. Text straight from the game.

"Please be careful, you can only win ONE of these trophies EVER, so MAKE SURE to hold on to it!"

"That was some fantastic driving! You've been rewarded with a slick new trophy."


With that, we are coming away with the knowlege that you can get the trophy the first time, and only the first time you get to the end.

I suggest, if you've completed the game, you get on the phone...or you may never see your 1st and only trophy.



And, Jbone - I totally agree with your sentiment about the game losing it's appeal when we are limited to only one trophy per account...and stuck there at that. They've lost their marbles there.

Known Bugs / Issues

Mastering classes seem to disable some Webkinz from moving forward at all.

I am going to log out and back in to WW and see if I can then get this game to work with my bullfrog.

I suggest that anyone who's finished and got kicked out calls. The more calls the better.

Level Walkthrough

Level 1

OK here's the first thing you will encounter. Everything in this level can just be jumped over ( Space Bar ). You will encounter squares of grass, a line of three grass in a row and a horizontal line with one open space.

Like I said, you can easily jump over them with no problem.

Level 2

You will need to make sure you are hitting all of the springs ( purple circles on the ground ). You will encounter Plus Signs, Triangles and the horizontal lines ( the ones with one space open ). Just hit the springs, and I try to stay towards the center and make small adjustments and jump over the spaces with just one grass area. Got to make sure you hit the springs.

Level 3

This is a real tough one. Got to make sure you are weaving around dodging the signs and grass areas. Just trying to jump over the grass proves to be problematic, as you will jump over one then land on one then typically drag through another. If you see a patch coming up while weaving through try to jump it. This one takes practice!

Level 4

I call this one "The Gully". you will have both the left and right sides lined with grass the whole way through. Those Wheels On Fire speed you up a bit. Just got to jump the horizontal dirt lines, and weave through the signs towards the end of the level.

Level 5

Lots of signs... just got to dodge them. Note: Hitting the dirt patches act as a good way to slow you down, better to hit those and be slowed down a bit then hit a sign and stop completely.

Level 6

Dodge the signs here, a patch of grass will line the sides and occasionally create a diagonal line and line the opposite side. Just hit the grass or try to jump it, remember the grass doesn't slow you down as much as hitting a sign.

"Vrrrm Vrrrm"

You will immediately be greeted by 3 signs on the right side. You will see 2 sets of Right Left Right Left Signs. Then it reduces down to 2 on each side, but you will be picking up Speed Boosts and hit a jump. After that you will be in another gully and have to avoid signs and dirt patches.

Level 8

Spoiler: show

Big giant dirt squares, signs galore. You will need to stay on the clear paths and alternate between the center and side edges. Remember when you are transferring from the center to the edge and vise versa that you should be cutting in diagonally to reduce the slow down. I would recommend NOT jumping when transferring from one to the other. Just take the slow down and navigate around the signs to avoid being stopped all together.

Level 9

Spoiler: show

Lots of dirt all around. You should stay on the clear paths as much as you possibly can, dodging the signs at almost any cost. When you have to make the switch from the inside to outside, drive diagonal so you don't drag as much and slow down. I would NOT recommend jumping as you will more then likely hit a sign. Use the dirt as slow downs for the tricky parts navigating around the signs.

Level 10

Patches of grass and lots of signs. Eight patches of grass on one side then immediately the same on the other side. Just try to drive through the middle of jump it if you can. It opens up occasionally and you'll encounter lots of signs. Just dodge, dodge dodge. I found keeping to the sides help a lot. You should be going really fast through this level so at times you can even clear those 8 patches in 1 jump ( or land just short and drag through 1 - 2 of them ). After that you will see the good 'ol Checkered Flag.

Note: At this time you error out and do not receive a trophy or a completion screen. Hopefully this will be resolved ASAP.
