Member of the Day Questions...

I am totally confused by the Member of the Day feature. I'm assuming they are randomly chosen, but today's member joined in 2007, has one pet and according to their rules, should have expired six months ago. I rarely see anyone who has made any effort with their My Page, has more than a couple of pets, has decorated rooms....anything.
Wouldn't it make better sense for them to showcase active accounts? Surely that is a possibility (or are those who actually do things with their sites too few and far between?)

I totally agree. Just the other day, I was looking at the profiles using the new feature of clicking on the faces of those on your phone or in the clubhouse.

Some of them had only 1 pet and joined over a year ago, but are still active. As you said, according to GANZ rules, those accounts should have expired long ago.

I don't understand GANZ at all. They have expired accounts as the pet of the day. In the clubhouse, when you move your mouse over a pet, their name appears, but yet you cannot use that pet's name. I even tried to type "Come sit over here", but the word come showed in red so according to GANZ that word is unacceptable. How stupid.

They are so busy "policing" us that they don't "police" themselves. They have games called "Goober's Lab", but yet we can't name our room the "Science Lab". They had a contest and announced the winner. Too bad the "winner" stole the room from another member. This shows me that they only check what they want and don't apply the rules equally for everyone. They really need to get their act together.

Although that would be wonderful there are more smaller accounts than there are bigger accounts so the odds point towards smaller accounts winning

Everyday I check to see the member of the day and as you said they all have one or two pets, there pages aren't done etc... i worked very hard making my rooms nice to put them up in MY PAGE , I have 199 pets on one account and 59 on another why can't someone who has an active interest in their Webkinz ever get Member of the Day? i think that we should be asking GANZ this question, show them that we see what is going on.

Well the person could have added something other than a pet to keep their account active... I only have one pet, I just don't see the need to buy more than I need to keep my account from expiring... I joined like 8 months ago and only have one pet. My rooms are all pretty much mix match, but I like them, other people probably would say they don't but I do. Maybe the people didn't work on their page, but have nice houses and just are afraid to show them. Or maybe they don't feel the need to work on their page, but maybe winning the member of the day trophy, therefore lots of people will view their page, will get them to decide to work on their page. Also if only the accounts with 200ish pets win, then the rich just get richer. Just my opinions though.

I have several accounts that I opened just for fun... a European account, and a few for extra holiday and rare items. I only have one pet on those and the room is very bare because I send all the stuff to my "MAIN HOUSE". I bet it is picked at random, but you just can't tell from one house that the person isn't an active Webkinz player ( such as myself). Oh and I started naming my pets silly names like "bowling alley" and "coffee shop" so my rooms could have the proper titles ( HA!)

I totally agree with you! Whenever I click on the member of the day, it's always a person that hasn't done a thing to decorate their Mypage. My Mypage is almost complete on one account, but on a different account, Where only 1 webkinz is logged onto, I activate my Mypage by clicking on it, then I leave it alone, un-decorated. Hehe! A better chance of me winning.

I don't know why they always pick people who don't care didly-squat () about their MyPage, instead of people who care about it and decorate it!
erg.. I know it's random picking- but I wish they'd like update the random picking to people who have decorated their Mypages in the last 50 days, or played on WW in the last 50 days. Who knows! Someone might've won a trophy for member of the day, but never goes on Webkinz World anymore.

I would just LOVE to see someone win with over 5 webkinz, and decorated my pages!
