And, xxaeroxx, I guess they are expensive, because they are bigger, and you get signature items, which some people are looking for, in trading rooms, and extra special, but I say regular webkinz pets are special also.. I care for all my pets, I love them all. | | | 08-08-2009, 09:12 PM | #18 | oah! I'mma Guest Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 847 | Re: why? Ahh...
$20 is more reasonable. All your paying for is extra pixels xD | | | 08-08-2009, 09:52 PM | #19 | Gift Guru Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 2,795 | Re: why? HI xxaeroxx, I would like to first say that as a parent or a preschooler we bought one and have been pretty happy with not only the plush but also the WEbkinz Jr. Site.
To address why $25.00 and up you must remember that the target age range for the WEbkinz Jr. is 3-6 years of age and they are not ment to be collected in huge numbers. Not only are the plush much larger than the regular WEbkinz and the Signature WEbkinz, they are super soft and cuddly - just right for younger children to squeeze and cuddly. More material is used on each animal and the site is more educational based. I have been more impressed with the quality of the Jr. over the regular they have taken a beating and still look great. There are many other educational sites out there that you easily pay $20.00 and up per year and you don't even get the plush.
The site itself while still glitchy is great for the younger crowd. The graphics are really cute and simple but not overdone. There are lots of great games and activites to help children learn their alphabet, numbers, colors, and many other cognitive skills. The whole site is verbally based so little kids don't have to read to be able to learn how to maneuver around on the computer. Another great benefit of the site, is you can change the skill level to match your child's skill level.
My son loves to be able to play on the big computer with mommy so it also provides a great time to teach him about computers but also learn and have fun at the same time.
In this day and age computers are a part of daily life and will be for our chilldren also. This is a great site to help the younger generation learn all about how to use a computer yet learn some basic skills they will use for the rest of their lives.
I think for $25-$30 it was money well spent for us.

Well, its a WebkinzJr, and its for little kids, so yeah... I wouldn't blame Ganz, since little kids are so special. Also, I wish they could lower the price, but Ganz doesn't go on WI I think :] Last edited by Diamond015; 08-08-2009 at 10:06 PM.. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
