My little cousin (5) loves Webkinz Jr. His mom (my aunt) says she thinks it's definitely worth it, he uses it every day. | | | 06-12-2009, 07:24 PM | #4 | cynthi1234 Guest Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 7,725 | Re: are they worth the cost??? if i were younger, i defintely would tinhk it is worth it.
but as i am older, and want to use my allowance more wisely, i think before buying...no very much worth the cost for me | | | 06-14-2009, 09:47 PM | #5 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 20 | Re: are they worth the cost??? I just got one for my almost 3yr old. Kind of a pre-schools tester...
I wouldn't let him run the mouse yet, but he was able to pick out the food that he wanted to buy from the w-shop. He loved hearing "Nuggles" say "weeee" as he slid down the slide. He wanted to see that over and over. There were some other areas he was able to point out where he wanted Nuggles to go. ALso, motivates him to use the potty after Nuggles goes potty.
Also, we counted together over and over at the acorn collector game(earned most of the coins for the day there).
I brought my laptop out and we sat quietly and played together until, Nuggles needed to take a nap...and then my son decided he wanted a nap too.
The whole thing was quite precious.
As far as using it for development...you may choose a game of the day to repeat the same skill and earn your coins in one area. That way the little one gets the practice needed to master the skill whether counting, letters, sequencing...
Also, i don't anticipate buying all the webkinz jr for him. The regular webkinz are kind of like collectors items...but the jr's is more about the learning games...worth the one time investment of $25.
I give it a thumbs up.... | | | 06-17-2009, 06:23 PM | #6 | I Love My Webkinz :) Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,520 | Re: are they worth the cost??? I would not spend the money on one.
If your sister already knows how to use
the regular webkinz world without a problem
you can just go with buying her a regular webkinz.
