i got one for my daughter for xmas....she really wanted the brown puppy. shrug. she's been asking for it for so long, i figure she just will be happy with the pet! i hope she can have some fun with it though!

I've heard so many horrible things about the glitches. Very sorry you had this problem. It looked great for young kids, but young kids are impatient, so with all these glitches, maybe right now, its not a good time.

My little guy really likes it. He will tell me "kunky puter" (monkey computer) and will have me log in for him. He's in the lower end of the recommended age... in fact, he started using WJr six months before the recommended minimum age.

He needed help at first, but now he can do all the games by himself. He does need to have me or his big sister log in for him, but once he's in, he can get around.

It was also difficult at first for us to figure out how to get him money. His monkey was hungry, we had no money, and we didn't know how to get any money for food. I had to look up how to get food for him.

I think I will get him a puppy for Christmas to go with his monkey. His monkey is one of his favorite stuffed animals, so even though they cost more than Webkinz, he still likes them. It will probably be a couple of years before he's old enough for Webkinz, so we'll have to get him a couple more pets to keep his account active.

I'm not sure about older kids; they might like regular Webkinz more.
