For some reason the site is a LOT slower than WW - so kind of took the thrill away. Plus, since this is designed for 3-6 year olds I sat back to watch them handle it. A lot of things were not well explained in terms of what to expect. Also - if you want little ones to learn normal mouse/computer usage, you should also have the regular little cursor hand appear over the big white gloved hand...that way they will become accustomed to it. But even then, when you point at something to click on the glove is so large that you have to find the exact right tiny little spot to click. It is actually harder than a regular point and click.
The real kicker is that my EDIT year old's pet - the blue & purple dog - came with a welcome gift - a stove or sink (I forget) and a food. The food appeared in the kitchen but the PSI never did. I logged out a couple of times and cleared the cache, but it never appeared. When you hit the redecorate button it tells us there is nothing to use. So, its gone??
Its almost not worth calling Ganz because it is so slow and frustrating for them. But the cost was so high I guess I will have to.
Maybe if this was the very first thing my EDIT year old ever saw it would be less frustrating, but it definitely isn't! I will be surprised if my allmost EDIT year old wants to log in again!
So, just an fyi!
For their personal safety, please do not reveal the ages of your loved ones.

We gave one to a young neighbor, and he seems to be handling it fine, but he thinks it's a bit boring. I guess you have to go either way, boring or tough! __________________

I called Ganz and the rep said they see it on the account when they open it. I've cleared the cache, rebooted, logged in and out several times. We finally have just continued to play without it. My son likes WW better anyway so we don't get on very often. At least he loves the plushie...the very expensive plushie. __________________ We heart | | | 10-21-2009, 05:36 PM | #5 | The kitty's watchin' Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,752 | Re: First day on WJr. - ugh Originally Posted by iplay4mykids It's been several months and we still don't have our PSI for the blue dog. Hmm who knows? __________________

Well, it is designed for younger kids, so the cursor would need to be larger some, now? =/ I don't know, it seems boring, even for younger kids. __________________

He really likes wwjr and tries it everyday. I have called in about the long waits and of course they say clear cache ( I do that before we even try to log in) and yes try another comp. I only have 1 in my home so thanks.. My son plays it for maybe 10 min a day . __________________ Freebee Diva & | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
