Becoming Slightly Annoyed...anyone else have these problems??

My 3 year old son just got a webkinz jr. He loves it and I do think it is a good teaching tool for him. However, since he got it a few days ago, i've had so many issues with it. He has not been able to earn money, and he can't play for more than 10 minutes without it freezing up. Also, when i go into the parents area, half of the things there wont even load. Am i able to send him mail, or is that for Deluxe members only? Which leads me to my next gripe. The Webkinz Jr in my opinion is expensive, $30 dollars is a lot, yes i get that the stuffed animal is bigger, but it expires in one year. I dont think they should limit what they can play and make more stuff available to Deluxe memebers for even more money. I emailed them about the account not earning money and i got an email back saying they needed more information. Once i submitted that I havent heard from them. I just dont think they should have gone ahead with the website with out working out all the gliches.

Is anyone else having issues like these?

Hi,

We are having the same kinds of problems with Webkinz Jr. The website has so many glitches. My daughter plays and plays the games and she never gets credit for them. Plus, the little money she did have she bought a pool with it only for the pool not to show up in the backyard or in the dock! I have written to them twice about the issues and no one has responded. Yes, the monkey is cute and yes she loves the monkey, but the website is horrible. I just wish they would fix it already!

Don't get me wrong, for those of you concidering getting a webkinz jr for a little one, I think it is a very good concept and learning tool. I just feel that they need to work out all these problems. My sons poor pet is always hungry and going to the dr becasue he has no money to feed it.

**And I dont have dial up internet, and besides im not sure what that would have to do with why my son is not earning money??

I agree that they are a really good concept. Like I said my daughter loves hers but the website has some major issues. My daughters pet is the same always hungry and without any money.

Yeah, and I dont have dialup either. I think it is a problem on their end.

Use the F5 button if it gets stuck. You don't have to log in again and iit takes your pet back to where it started from. My daughter quickly picked up on the button and my life has been much easier since.

I don't mind the 30 a year (glitches aside) I was paying a subscribtion to jumpstart and that was 7.00 a month! Great games and site but not worth the 84.00 a year

You don't need to buy food for your pet. Let your pet drink the water from the kitchen faucet. That will fill your pet up for free!

I thought it was just me with the freezing up! I thought maybe my son was clicking too much or my internet was lagging out... I'll try the F5 trick and see if that works.. I also havent found a quick fix around the compatibility issues with avast anti-virus when logging in, I have to shut the anti virus off in order to login webkinz jr.. and I really dont like leavin my PC un protected while my son plays..
