It would be super helpful to save the long blue four tiles! | | | 01-08-2009, 09:12 PM | #2 | Gift Trainee Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 160 | Re: New Bamboo Game-- Hold area? Check out the instructions before you start playing the game. If you press the space bar when a certain piece of bamboo is coming down, you can save it to the hold area. When you want to use the piece in the hold area, just press the space bar to put it in play again. | | | 01-08-2009, 09:33 PM | #3 | We want a giraffe Webkinz :) Join Date: Jun 2008 Posts: 683 | Re: New Bamboo Game-- Hold area? I didn't interpret that right from the instructions. I didn't realize the space bar puts it in hold too. That will come in very handy since I always leave a column open for the long piece when I have a chance at getting a chip. I've done very well so far without it, but hopefully this helps me do even better. | | | 01-08-2009, 10:22 PM | #4 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 63 | Re: New Bamboo Game-- Hold area? Agreed, I try to keep a long blue bar over there, just like you do! __________________ Mom to 4 webkinz, one lil kinz, and a wonderful little boy!! | | | 01-08-2009, 11:31 PM | #5 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 11 | Re: New Bamboo Game-- Hold area? haha wow thanks! i totally didn't get that when i read the instructions! __________________ Lyssa | | | 01-09-2009, 07:19 AM | #6 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 30 | Re: New Bamboo Game-- Hold area? Another thing to remember is that innitially you put it into the hold area by pushing the space button to hold your first tile. When you press the space bar every other time you are getting the tile from the hold area and replacing it with the tile that is falling down. If you have another long piece in cue (the long line at the left of the screen), and you can't find a good spot to put the tile, then it is helpful to trade the falling down piece with the long one you have in the hold box on the right. I started holding the long one when I first started playing it, but now I use the hold section alot more trying different stratigies. The only exact row combos you need to complete challenges is 3 rows and 4 rows. I set it up so I have 4 rows ready to go with an "L" shape on the top and sometimes have the "L" shape one in the holding area if I have the long ones in cue. Hopefully that wasn't confusing. Let me know if it is & I'll try to post a printed screen of it. Hope that helps. It's a really fun game! | | | 01-09-2009, 11:45 AM | #7 | My mama says I'm Gifted Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 2,557 | Re: New Bamboo Game-- Hold area? Another thing to remember is that when you take something out of the holding area it starts falling from the top, so if a piece is about to go somewhere you don't want it too you can hit the spacebar and try again with your hold piece. This can be really helpful in the higer levels. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
