Wow, as someone who used to spend HOURS playing Tetris, I was so excited to see Bamboo Break. Wasted my whole morning and went straight through the game in about an hour. Level 12 is the completion of the game. I completed 8 challenges for the bonus chips, but at the end of the game there was no special prize or trophy. Perhaps I didn't complete enough challenges; I was having a hard time getting used to using the arrow keys (miss my Nintendo control!!)
Anyway, if anyone gets a peek at this "Special prize" - I'm anxious to know what it is. For the whole game I think I got about 300 kinzcash. What a fun blast from the past for me! | | | 01-07-2009, 12:01 PM | #2 | My mama says I'm Gifted Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 2,559 | Re: Bamboo Break "special prize"?? Thanks for the info. Maybe this will be a random trophy? I could see theree being a chance of getting one every time you clear 4 lines at once. How exactly do the challenges work? | | | 01-07-2009, 12:36 PM | #3 | jnmommy Gifted Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 5,952 | Re: Bamboo Break "special prize"?? I have no idea how this game works. | | | 01-07-2009, 12:41 PM | #4 | Amaridy Wrongshu Gifted Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 28,916 | Re: Bamboo Break "special prize"?? AWESOME, I was wondering about prize distribution. It is probably random distribution by combination...same as Goober's lab | | | 01-07-2009, 12:45 PM | #5 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 561 | Re: Bamboo Break "special prize"?? This is a stupid question but I just don't get this game. I tried filling in the squares then moving them and filling. I got Zero points or dollars either time. Obviously, I never played Tetrus.
Can someone explain it a little more than the WW instructions...pretty please. Can I only move the whole block or is there a way to move one of the four individually? I need help with this one, and here someone is bored and finishing it already, wow. Maybe I need another cup of coffee?
Thanks for any help or tips. | | | 01-07-2009, 12:49 PM | #6 | megamu Gift Guru Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 1,418 | Re: Bamboo Break "special prize"?? Aren't most of the trophies awarded by chance? Once you get to a certain level or you get a certain score, there is a chance you will get a trophy.
Having said that, I'm with Pinky Sue...lost!!! | | | 01-07-2009, 01:51 PM | #7 | Happy Holidays! Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 8,487 | Re: Bamboo Break "special prize"?? I died on level 10, but I completed about 4 challenges. What exactly is the "prize" for completing a challenge? One of the challenges that I was asked to complete was to clear 6 rows at once; how is that even possible in this game? When I died, I only had one bonus chip (but I completed more than one challenge). How do you get bonus chips? Thanks!

Thanks for any help or tips. You can only move/maneuver the block that is "falling". If you don't like that block, you can press the space bar and put it on "hold" (only one block can be put on hold at a time). If you press the space bar again, the new "falling block" with be replaced with the one that was already on "hold". You can change the orientation of the falling block by pressing the up arrow key. When you complete a whole row (from left to right) with no "spaces" (and no matter what the colors of the blocks are in the row), the row will disappear. If you complete multiple rows at once, you will get more points.
I still have a lot of questions about the game. Last edited by SnowCrystal; 01-07-2009 at 01:51 PM.. It says you have a CHANCE at getting the trophy at the end, and bonus chips will increase your chances ... Congrats on completing! Yes, the surprise is a trophy! | | | 01-07-2009, 01:55 PM | #9 | Amaridy Wrongshu Gifted Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 28,916 | Re: Bamboo Break "special prize"?? So do I, but I am lacking co-ordination right now. I am more watching the thread to see what develops and to hand out a few hints. You can swap the pieces...The spacebar will swap a held piece...if your dexterity is fine enough
This is a snap of the last page that says something about Challenges being met within a specified time giving a prize, it also says something of game completion. BUT challenges ,it seems are a random distribution by combination. ALSO it does say that game completion brings an ADDITIONAL Prize. So there are TWO potential prizes for this game Last edited by Dixiecup; 01-07-2009 at 02:00 PM.. As far as I understand there is ONE surprise (a trophy!). This can ONLY be won if you complete the game (finish level 12 obviously). But you are not guaranteed a trophy just by finishing, you have a CHANCE .. to increase your chance you can collect bonus chips.
