My hat's off to those have finished the game I get buried alive on level 9 - I see them falling, I freeze - bam - gaps and holes everywhere. What's the little hold box for?

LOL, I know what you mean! I didn't have many chances to play yesterday between writing the guide and doing regular Mom stuff but after the kids were in bed I did try a couple times... couldn't get past level 11 though Who knows what would have happened if WW hadn't kicked me out for maintenance at level 11 !!! Oh who am I kidding... I would have lost it

Awwww.... Tell you what - if I get any good at it I'll have you log on to my account and win me the Crystal Sea trophy and I'll log on yours and win the Tetris one . Past level 10, don't try to do the challenges unless you're really really good. Great suggestions! I'll quote them on my first post! I agree - by level 10-11 I just ignore the challenges and just try to make it through! Hopefully you're posting your high scores on Amneris' high score thread (the link is in my first post)... Hopefully you can get the trophy soon and then just concentrate on making KC and having FUN!

asia1998, gotta love that KC! I DO with the trophy weren't random and you could win it every time you finished the game, but at least they made it so you can earn good KD playing! Thanks so much for the tip! I'll be sure to quote it on the first post!!! I didn't realize that you could drop then slide!!! This will be a big help! Although not at the higher levels where I'm just trying to survive LOL!

With the Tetris I played the down arrow would just make the piece drop faster, it wouldn't drop all the way down. I think the space bar was the "hard drop" key so it's a little different.. but then I think the Tetris version I have is 20 years old

Asia, I have a Samsung mini - about the same size as the Acer. Have you tried to run it full-screen? (F11 will toggle back and forth between full screen and regular window). On my Samsung it lets me see how many lines etc. Great KC!

See - and you thought you'd never get past level 5 LOL. The hold box is handy for saving a strategic piece or a piece that won't fit without having to rotate it. I also use it because when you hit the space bar to swap the hold piece out it starts again from the top of the well so it gives you some extra milliseconds. One more thing to use in the planning process but sometimes it can REALLY help! And now that I know about the drop-slide trick I might be able to make it through a game!

Grrr just beat it again and had *17* Yes *17* Bonus Chips with NO trophy ARRRGGHH!! So frustrating......

So anyways I found that a good strategy for getting extra bonus chips is on the easier levels 1 - about 8 ( sorry if you can't beat these!!! I'm just good at games LOL ) is when you are getting close to completing a level is to build up and not clear anything. A lot of times you can snag a last "Clear EXACTLY 4 lines at once" bonus right before the level ends.


Also, if you have any holes at all, DO NOT worry about any of the challenges. Get yourself back to perfect stacks before you hit those challenges.

This game is mostly about learning how all the pieces fit together the best. It will come with time if you haven't played GOBS of Tetris is previous years. I did, The New Tetris was an AWESOME game for the N64, my family would have competitions, everyone would play =P. Usually it'd be either my sister or me who won.

Anyways, good luck guys wish me luck too!!

I got to Level 11 but at that point the pieces were falling too fast for me and it became a mess.

A quick question, are you supposed to get a bonus token for each complete challenge because I completed a probably around 10 challenges but only got 2 bonus tokens.

Someone was saying before though that if you complete the challenge at the same time as the level is over it doesn't award the bonus? I think it's played out that way for me too... Do you allow for at least another row or two to complete the level before you take on the challenge? Or have you been awarded the token even though it's the end of the level?

Wouldn't have had 17 chips then.... didn't notice not getting any credit for any of those ones.

Wow! I just won the trophy! It was my first time completing all 12 levels (I slowed down my computer for the last level). I had 9 bonus chips total.

It still can't be mailed, sold, or traded. I wonder if it's possible to get more than one on an account - but what would be the point of that if we can't trade them?

I realized that the "tips" I said yesterday didn't hold true today... maybe there were some glitches that they fixed? I received the bonus chips every time I was supposed to, even if I completed the challenge the same time that I completed the level. Also, I realized that one of the "prizes" for completing a challenge in time was that two lines would be cleared.
