my best is 19 bonus chips, I always finish with at least 16, My class just ended today so I have 10 full days to play, hopefully I can manage a trophy before I start pulling my hair out

Has anyone gotten two trophies on the same account yet? I'm trying to get a second one, but I haven't even completed the game again because I keep getting interrupted. I like the 99 second break between levels, but the game needs a pause button so you can pause in the middle of the level! The Tetris game I used to play had that feature which was really nice.

That's a good idea sydney88, I'll have to try it out since having several browser windows open isn't working and neither is playing on my slow laptop.

Finish the game (all 12 levels) and you get a random chance at the trophy. The basic chance is 1 in 100, but you can improve this by earning "bonus chips" during the game. Each bonus chip adds to your chances, so that if you have four bonus chips at the end of the game for example, your trophy odds are 5 in 100. Overall, very slim odds for so much effort.

WOW! I'm impressed! Wiliamson_39 is the guru of games and statistics! I'm amazed that he was able to figure out the odds in such a short time! And it's cool that he noticed my thread!

I'm NOT impressed with the trophy odds but at least you get a decent amount of KC. Too bad you don't have a chance at a trophy with each of the challenges! That would make it more enticing. I'll stick with it anyway since I enjoy the game so much.

Don't feel too bad. My daughter did the same thing. I gave up trying to tell her how to play - it was just aggravating to both of us. First I would concentrate on getting the hang of rotating and moving the pieces into position. Try to avoid making holes and if you do get them, try to erase them right away. Hopefully you'll keep trying, but if not, I understand. I'm not necessarily good at keyboard games myself. Don't know why this one is different for me

Wow! I bow to the master! 19 chips! So according to Williamson_39 that should give you a 1 in 5 or 20% chance at the trophy. Hope you can get through it without pulling your hair out too!

I like the break too. It would be better if it were like Goober where you said when you were ready for a new level!

After all is said and done, I only got in one or two games so far today! and then I think I only got to level 10. I think I'll go for another try now that the kids are in bed!

I might take you up on that offer! I've actually played 6 times. I'm managed to complete level 12 with several coins and didn't get the trophy. I am stunned that the pieces fall so rapidly.

I was completing challenges today and not getting the coins. It seems to happen more frequently in 2 of the 4 games I played today. I did notice a stack of lines erase after I completed a challenge.

So anyways I found that a good strategy for getting extra bonus chips is on the easier levels 1 - about 8 ( sorry if you can't beat these!!! I'm just good at games LOL ) is when you are getting close to completing a level is to build up and not clear anything. A lot of times you can snag a last "Clear EXACTLY 4 lines at once" bonus right before the level ends.


Also, if you have any holes at all, DO NOT worry about any of the challenges. Get yourself back to perfect stacks before you hit those challenges.

This game is mostly about learning how all the pieces fit together the best. It will come with time if you haven't played GOBS of Tetris is previous years. I did, The New Tetris was an AWESOME game for the N64, my family would have competitions, everyone would play =P. Usually it'd be either my sister or me who won.

Good suggestion about the bonuses. You got a lot in one go!! The most I got was 12. I gave up towards the end of the game and just played it safe.

I'm wondering how you stack them, I've watched my dh do it...he rotates and moves his pieces around so much. I simply let them drop and fit for the most part. I think there's a vertical and horizontal playing mode. Have you thought of capturing the game play with a video? I'd love to see your strategy compaired to mine and see if there is a resemblence.

I realized that the "tips" I said yesterday didn't hold true today... maybe there were some glitches that they fixed? I received the bonus chips every time I was supposed to, even if I completed the challenge the same time that I completed the level. Same happened with the dissapearing lines for me. What movie do you use to 'slow it down"...I'm tempted!! I'm living on my last nerve at the moment.

I panic at the 11th and 12th level...I basically play line for line and try to hold out the best I can. It's a toughy for sure. Everyone is doing good here though...it's very inspiring!! Thank you for maintaining this wonderful thread!!

Just a quick question......when playn the arcade games are people still able to invite you to play other games, or over to there house????? I thought that when you invited someone while they were playn games it gave the message " cant not be bothered" or what ever.........Anyways, my point is I got to level 10 and was doing VERY well and I got a game invite and it blew the game!!!!!! Aaaaaaaach!!!! Is this a glitch, or just something I never noticed before????

I just opened a network channel website (like abc, nbc, etc) and pulled up any full length episode they had available. It worked like a charm the first time (I started playing the episode right before I started level 11), but the second time I tried it the game didn't slow down as much. I was just barely able to finish the 12th level - no trophy though.
