New Year's Resolution about Pizza Palace

I have been getting to Level 17 in Pizza Palace quite regularly in the last two weeks, but I can't make it through the level: I memorized the order, I tried rearranging the pizzas, and I tried uncovering additional pizzas. I know that all of the pizzas have two toppings, sometimes (but not always) with commonalities. But no matter what I have tried, I am always short at least 5 KC (and usually more) in tips.

I gave the game three more tries today, but my New Year's resolution was to stop playing the game in 2009 if I couldn't get to level 18 today; I didn't make it. I think that Ganz has made Level 17 impossible for mere mortals, though maybe the programming gods can get through it. For me it's now just a waste of time because I don't believe I can get a higher score. I would rather make my money gardening.

I will be reading Webkinzinsider's forum to see if anyone makes it through Level 17, though, so please make a post if you get to Level 18 (or higher)!

Level 5 starts with a half pizza, a quarter pizza, a half pizza, and a half pizza; the first three have toppings but the fourth doesn't. You need to get the customer's order for the first so you know what the toppings are, but, as you pick up the half pizza, you can hit the quarter pizza button and get the second customer's order as you are topping the first pizza.

On level 5, I had upgraded the shoes once (level 2), upgraded the dough maker (level 3), and done nothing at level 4. Just keep your cool, be sure to find out what pizza the next person wants and prepare the next pizza in the dough maker while you are topping a pizza. If a pizza finishes cooking while you are topping a pizza, get it and serve it to the customer after you have hit the topping button: you'll have enough time to get to the oven and back before the pizza is topped! The customers at level 5 are still pretty patient.

Level 6 starts the same way (a half, a quarter, and a half), but the fourth pizza is a whole pizza. Once you feel confidant what the next pizza is, you'll be able to pick up the dough and hit the button for the next pizza.

Yeah, I'm always at level 9 and seem to be about 60 kc short of the goal.

If you go back to the main Pizza Palace page, there's a query about Level 9 about five messages down, and a couple of us posted suggestions about how to get through the level. I would put a link, but I'm not sure how to do it, but the title of the message makes clear that it's about level 9. Good luck!

SallyAnne... I'm with you. I was stuck in the same rut..almost becoming obsessive about getting past Level 18. I did the same thing, completely memorized the order, rearranged the order I made the pizzas, everything I can think of. The timing on their happiness level is much quicker also after the first 6 (did you notice that?)... The first 6 seem to have the same length of "happy...i.e. 25 tip.. time", but the rest of them seem to have less available happy time.

I can get to Level 17 with both my "lives" intact and getting all 25 tips, but I have also given up. I like the game, but it's long and I can play 15 minutes less, get 498 on Zingoz Pop and have a $200 trophy to sell, and not get frustrated by not being able to finish the game.

Some games you expect that you can't really finish the game, but the way this one is set up you would expect to be able to complete it and see some sort of world map view of all your stores..heh heh.

I stopped playing it completely 4 days ago.

I'm hoping enough people will get to Level 18 and get frustrated and maybe if Ganz gets some complaints, they will fix it so mere mortals can finish it. They did (at some point), change Level 17 in the first few weeks.

Oh well, I keep checking here to see if anyone has beat it too

CheeryChick makes an excellent point about the frustration of not being able to get beyond Level 17, which I hadn't thought about before: Pizza Palace really is set up so that you believe that you can finish the game, not just have your business (which you worked so hard to expand) collapse on you. We have enough bad economic news IRL, so we don't need to cope with it URL!

And I love the idea of seeing a world map with your Pizza Palace empire at the end! In fact, if Ganz would create an end for Pizza Palace (and maybe a random trophy), victory could unlock a second game--Pizza Palace Empire...
