It is hard for me to get all of the pizzas out in time because of the whole pizzas. They slow me down a lot and it is very difficult for me to get back on track. If anyone has any advice please post. | | | 06-24-2009, 12:13 PM | #2 | webelo3 Gift Guru Join Date: May 2007 Posts: 4,275 | Re: Level 8 Originally Posted by Sparky32 I am ahving a lot of trouble getting past level eight. Sparky, here are some tips for you to consider. First, familiarize yourself with the pattern for level 8. The type of pizza and the number of items each pizza has are the same every time. I have provided the pattern below:
Customer 1: 1/1 (3)
Customer 2: 1/4 (2)
Customer 3: 1/2 (0)
Customer 4: 1/4 (1)
Customer 5: 1/1 (3)
Customer 6: 1/4 (2)
Customer 7: 1/4 (0)
Customer 8: 1/2 (2)
Customer 9: 1/2 (2)
Customer 10: 1/4 (3)
Customer 11: 1/4 (3)
As you can see, there are only two whole pizzas (pizza nos. 1 and 5), and they BOTH are three-item pizzas. My advice is to memorize the level by breaking it into two stages. First, memorize the pattern for the first 5 pizzas. You have a whole pizza, followed by a quarter, a half, another quarter and a whole. Before starting the level, say over and over in your mind, "whole, quarter, half, quarter, whole. Whole, quarter, half, quarter, whole." This way, you will remember the first five pizzas in the level. Because the first pizza has all three items, as soon as the level starts, you can program the first dough maker to produce a whole pizza, and as soon as it is done, you can start applying the toppings (even before you take the first customer's order). Once you've got the first pizza in the oven, you can start making the next three. Note that the half pizza is a plain pizza, so you won't have to put any toppings on it. You should have two topping stations by now, so you can apply the toppings to the quarter pizzas while the first pizza is cooking. Then, when the first pizza is done, you can put all three of the next pizzas into the oven at the same time. While they are cooking, you can start applying all three toppings to the second whole pizza. Once the second whole pizza is in the oven, the remaining pizzas are quarter, quarter, half, half, quarter, quarter -- pretty easy to remember. And, as a final time-saver, note that the last two quarter pizzas are three-item pizzas meaning, once again, you can start applying the toppings to these pizzas before taking the customer's orders.
If you follow this strategy, level 8 should be a breeze. Good luck! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
