The first three pizzas are 1/4, 1/1, 1/2, but the customers are slow to come out, so I get the first order, take the 1/4 pizza and hit the 1/4 button again, make the 1/4 pizza, and (while it's topping) put the 1/2 and the 1/1 pizza on the cutting boards but ignore them.
When I take the topped 1/4 pizza up to be cooked I take the next three orders from the customers. As the first topping for all three is going on (and you have to take the 1/4 pizza off the dough maker at some point--I think I usually did it after I put the first 1/4 pizza in the oven), I hit the dough makers to make 1/1, 1/1, 1/2, and then finish topping the three pizzas on the cutting boards. (At some point in there, the 1/4 pizza that's cooking finishes, so you have to serve it).
As I remember, for the next three pizzas, the first 1/1 pizza and the 1/2 need to be topped; the second 1/1 is plain. As you take those two off the dough makers, you need to hit 1/2 and 1/1. The two whole pizzas need to be cooked before the two halves (which, as I remember, are usually the same, with two toppings--but keep your eye on those toppings, because I'm writing from memory).
When the halves are in the oven, I put the 1/1 and a 1/4 pizza on the cutting boards and start topping them because they each have 3 toppings. Note that I am making the pizzas out of order here: the customers will order 1/4 (1 topping), 1/4 (3 toppings), and 1/1 (3 toppings), but it takes longer to cook a whole pizza and longer to top with 3 toppings than one. Also, after the dough maker makes that last whole pizza, only 1/4 pizzas are left, so you can just keep hitting 1/4.
I often left the single topping 1/4 pizza until after the two 3 topping pizzas are in the oven, and then the last two 1/4 pizzas are plain.
So, the pattern is 4-1-2-4 (make the first quarter pizza alone); 1-2-2; then 2-1 (because the plain whole pizza is on dough maker), and then, as you can, 4-4-4-4. And who cares if you make too many 1/4 pizzas and have one or two left over--it doesn't count against you.
As a general rule, I try not to expose more orders than the ones I am working on (it makes it easier to keep track where I am). Also, it helps me to keep the pizzas in order on the cutting boards--that is, the cutting board on the left is for the first pizza, the middle cutting board is for the second, the right cutting board is for the third.
I continued to fail Level 15 from time to time if my concentration was broken because I would sometimes top at least one pizza wrong, but this method worked most of the time. Anyway, I hope that this explaination is helpful! :ccat: and a floral fox |
