Hi there! Who here doen't love the new Gemstone Pets from the eStore? Well, I sure do! At the very first time they released info about them, I thought up a thoery, and this is it: a GP (Gemstone Pet) will have the first letter of the Gemstone's name. Example: Pearl Pup. Ruby Retriever. Well, then I learned that all of this year's GP will be dogs of some kind. So I made a list of possible dog-breeds for Ganz to use for each month. Using this, maybe you can come up with more! How about a year of Cat-themed GP? Or Horse-themed? How about Fantasy-themed?

Starting from August: Peridot Pug/Peridot Papillion/Peridot Pointer/Peridot Pomeranian/Peridot Puggle/Peridot Papoo/Peridot Pomapoo/Peridot Poodle/Peridot Pomchi
Going on to September: Shapphire Scoodle/Shapphire Siberian Husky/Shapphire Samoyed/Shapphire Saint
Next we have October: Opal Otterhound/Opal Old English
Now in November: Topaz Terrier/Topaz Tosa Inu
And in December: Turquoise Terrier/Turqoise Tosa Inu

And that makes the year of 2009. Can't wait to see you predictions Have fun!

Well, it's been a while since I opened this thread. I belive the following question has been hanging around for a while, and still doesn't seem to be answered.

"It hasn't been confirmed that this year's Gemstone Pets will ALL be dogs, has it?"

Well, as far as I know, yes, it has. In fact, it's still there for you to check out, at the Webkinz eStore.

Also, here's a list of all the GemStone Pets we've discovered so far:
1. May 2009: Emerald Lab
2. June 2009: Pearl Pup
3. July 2009: Ruby Retriever
4. August 2009: Peridot Pup (NEW!)

Also, I think it's time to gestarted with ideas for next year's Gemstone Pets. Anybody wanna help? Just suggest your ideas, and I will d them. Yo for any month, any animal. ll ideas are welcome!

Has it been confirmed that all the birthstone pets are going to be dogs? I hadn't heard anything about that yet. I hope not. I like dogs but I would like a little more variety in the pets.

Pink Tourmaline is also octobers birthstone. and may was the emerald lab, not the same first letters. but it is in interesting theory

Yes, it has. If you check in the Webkinz eStore, you can see that it says that. I hopeds they wouldn't too, but that's the way Ganz likes it.

Thank-you! I hope those come out, though it's against the law for Ganz to use a member's idea. I think that's good! Also you'r pretty lucky for having Webkinz Lover as your username. I know so many people who wanted to use it.

i am actually actually glad that you said that birthstone pets will be dogs. My birthstone is aquamarine and i was afraid they were gonna make it a fish.... aqua.

I was actully upset when they said they were all going to be dogs... It would have been fun to have a Topaz Turtle, Amysist Armadilo, and such. Thanks for posting!
