Ehm, well...I don't know if they're going to retire it, but it is kind of an older item, so I can see why it might become a retired item.

Maybe the person/site who told your friend maybe isn't telling the truth. Most possibly it can be retired, probably not. This is just a rumor, so like what I said before, it can be retired or not
