I've seen the ghost a few times, but you can also win prizes and KC - There is a Pirate Costume that is awarded piece by piece and parts of a map as well which I believe leads to some treasure. It is random, as with spinning the wheel.
Personally I think it is a lot of money to spend for what you get, I am bored of it already -
but that is my opinion.

You can get 4 parts of a map, once you do that you get a mermonkey trophy, a special trunk and a coin (that no one knows what it's for) all items are kinzpostable and it took someone 19 visits to win it. I'm near that many visits (lost count).

You can get a pirate costume, boots, sash, pants, shirt, hat and eye patch...along with chocolate, kc or a fright from seeing the ghost. Yeah it's boring but so is charm hunting but the prizes for the charm forest are neat too.

Personally I really like the tiki torches from the wheel.

I like the Tiki torches too - but have yet to win one - I have enough palm trees to begin a reforestation project though....

I wait until several of my pets are hungry before I go so they get their boost when I take them and they are hungry enough to eat the four items you are allowed at the buffet. In seven vacations I have only gotten one tiki torch, the pirate boots and 19 of the 20 souvenir items with two dupicates. I still need the one piece swimming suit. I think it is too expensive for what you get, especially for the small kids who have done it all in about two minutes. I have found if you don't like what is in the souvenir shop, you will get at least a partial different selection the next day.

My daughter sends her pets on the vacation every chance she get's, and man does it annoy me! Why waste $500 KC on that.

I HAVE VISITED EVERYDAY AND HAVE STILL YET TO RECEIVE ANY PIECES OF THE MAP AND ONLY TIKI TORCH. IS THERE ANY TIPS SOMEONE CAN GIVE TO GETTING THE MAP PIECES OR IS IT COMPLETELY RANDOM IN WHICH CASE THE SAYING "EVEN A BLIND SQUIRREL FINDS A NUT FROM TIME TO TIME" ISN'T HOLDING TRUE FOR ME. I AM OVER 30 VISITS AND NOT ONE PIECE OF THE MAP.

WHAT A MAJOR WASTE OF MONEY IT IS.

Not to be a downer, but I think the point is to waste your KC. I've tried it a few times and between the endless blow-up palm trees (which lose their charm after the tenth), the non existent raffle prizes, and finding either a ghost or chocolate (yay), I haven't bothered in a long time.

I have gone on vacation every day since it started. The past 5 trips now I have seen the ghost. I have 13 "Fools Gold" Chocolates on hand (I've even sent a few to friends!), 3 pirate pants, I have more shells than I know what to do with so I have started selling them off. The inflatable palm tree--I can't send them to anyone anymore coz everyone is tired of them! I have been lucky to win one tiki torch and cashed in a few times on the $500 KC on the wheel--today I got $250. The parties are getting annoying--I can sit in the room the entire hour and not get a raffle (which they do at least 10 times an hour) which would in theory give everyone in the room a prize, but when one wins, they leave and a new person arrives--so there I sit, patiently waiting for nothing... very disappointing!! I've known about the map for a while thanks to the site and just found out about the pirate costume...but have to wunder if it's worth the KC...
