has anyone figured out how to not get the ghost

I've never gotten the ghost. I always press right in the very center of the sign. (don't know if that helps, but that's just what I do)

I've never seen the ghost. I really want to though! I buy a vacation everyday, and I get money or fool's gold. But I do have the upper right map piece!

There is no way to assure you dont see the ghost.
i have only seen the ghost once!
but it is VERY frusterating having to make your pet happy allll lover again!
i feel your pain!
plus 500 is ALOT of Kinzcash!
i dont really have alot of advice to give you.
i just hope you dont always get the ghost!
just wanted to let you know, i know what its like to have to spend alot of hard earned Kinzcash on getting a vacatoin and having your pet come home totally unhappy then have to pay more money, to but their favorite foods, and it is very time consuming.
the fastest way to make them happy again tho, is to give them a bath, use the sink, trampoline , pool, and quizzies questions.
The pet's happiest goes up 1 point per questoin.

I've seen my fair share of ghosts that is for sure. I just got my first treasure map piece at 5:03pm KT and my computer is 4:03pm

I've figured it out!!! All you have to do is look for ghost ball about the size of the o on your keyboard. If its there, DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!!! That means the ghost is most definitley there. Sometimes the ghost is there even though the ghost ball isn't. I really hope this helps all of you!

I have had that ghost scare me the last 5 times I have taken the vacation. Other than that I got chocolate twice and nothing else. Is there any kind of control with this game, am I missing something? I thought maybe the arrow keys on my keyboard would do something to stabalize the boat, but nothing I have done gives any control. I so want that pirate costume, so I keep going back for more, but I am tired of that darn ghost.
