does the pet make a difference?

Do you need to take the same pet on Rock the Boat to advance? I seem to get the same things over and over, but I have changed pets. Haven't tried it using just one pet all the time. And why at 500 dollars a day do you only get to play once? You should get 5 chances like on the wishing well or at least get to play every six hours like Fairy Falls.

It is unsure if the pets matter. but if somebody finds out a pattern then we will know
