Please stop by and help :( It's ok we all go through this.. just leave for a week and when you get back on you will really want to play!
And if you think you are totally done give the account to a younger sibling or younger cousin.. someone who will like it.. | | | 04-11-2009, 11:06 AM | #12 | snowvillage Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 98 | Re: Is it worth it?! Please stop by and help :( Several of my family members have lost interest, left and then come back. We older Webkinzers have kept up their accounts for them until they regained interest. Two of my grandchildren spent part of spring break with us and when they saw my husband playing, they jumped on their accounts and added rooms, played for hours and generally enjoyed themselves.
Hobbies are expensive. This one is relatively moderate in price. Just think about playing golf! Hundreds of dollars in equipment and then hundreds more every time you play.
How about competition sports? It costs my friend roughly $12,000 per year for her 16 year old daughter to compete in cheerleading and yet they encourage her to participate.
Hobbies help reduce the stress of everyday life. If you're concerned about the money, stop buying and play with the things you already have. It's not a big deal. | | | 04-11-2009, 11:18 AM | #13 | So glad I'm Gifted Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 3,085 | Re: Is it worth it?! Please stop by and help :( If you really don't like it, first trty going away from it for a week or 2 and then try again. I would give it a couple of weeks adn if after that you still don't really like it, I would give it to someone who would really really like it. People grow out of things and it's not a big deal.
With the money thing, well there is no way to get it back but you spent it on somewthing that you enjoyed at the time. it is a hobby and it does cost $$$, but there are some that would be a lot more expensive, like golf, or model trains, or skiing/snowbaording otr competion sports. You eould be spending the money on something you enjoyed so it's money well spent in my mind | | | 04-12-2009, 11:45 AM | #14 | Call me Renesmee Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 548 | Re: Is it worth it?! Please stop by and help :( Well, thanks for the tips. I have 3 accounts (this one I'm talking about... with all the good stuff ) and two of my sister's accounts. I adopted her unwanted accounts graciously... and will probably pass those on. My account, i would just hate to waste... i mean think about this. ALL the time and money!! All the trades. All of 600+ dollars my family, friends, and I spent on Webkinz FOR ME!! For my account... Im glad I'm not alone on this guilty part. BTW what are your guys' thoguhts on the Deluxe memberships?! I think it looks amazing (but again the money thing spreads guilt ALL OVER me) but, idk.
Thanks for backing me up here. And not making me feel like I am completly out of my mind for growing out of WW!!! I appreiete it

Please stop by and help :( I often wonder the same thing. But I also think about where the money would go if it wasn't webkinz. I would be buying video games, cd's, upgrading my digital tv; in short, I would still be spending money on entertainment and hobbies. I am a graduate student getting my master's, and Webkinz is my way of unwinding and de-stressing. So, I know that I spend more money than I should on Webkinz, but I would feel the same way if the money were going somewhere else. At least this is a healthy and productive hobby | | | 04-12-2009, 12:24 PM | #16 | uv U! Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 18,175 | Re: Is it worth it?! Please stop by and help :( How about doing something new and creative with your account? for example I see you're a Twilight fan. How about some dioramas from Twilight, recreate your favourite scenes and have your webbies play the parts and dress up? maybe some creative writing?
You learn from every hobby so don't feel guilty about the expense. I'm sure you learned a lot without even realising it, from your WW experience. | | | 04-12-2009, 12:26 PM | #17 | slashie<3 Webkinz :) Join Date: Jun 2008 Posts: 17,843 | Re: Is it worth it?! Please stop by and help :( i do somewhat regret it sometimes,
however, i dont really buy them too often any more,
i'm into trading.
i really want a magical retriever bed,
red lava, blue dragster, purple lava,
etc.
once i get what i want,
i will probably do a giveaway
and give away stuff that could make other people happier than it makes me. | | | 04-12-2009, 12:45 PM | #18 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 7,317 | Re: Is it worth it?! Please stop by and help :( All hobbies cost money so I would consider it a hobby you may have outgrown and just begin enjoying a new one. Also I love the idea of giving your account to someone who would be thrilled to get it. Or even slowly start mailing Exclusive items and stuff to friends. They would be so excited and you would make their day!! | | | 04-12-2009, 02:00 PM | #20 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 789 | Re: Is it worth it?!
