Same scenario, except instead of flying bunny ears, you're after flying donut seeds. People would still be trying to get them, because their value is based more on their popularity than their scarcity. In other words, I don't care if everybody else DOES have donut seeds...I still want them. Not so with the bunny ears; if it weren't for their scarcity, I wouldn't want to clutter up my dock with them.
But if you're offering to give me one or the other, then yeah, I'd take the bunny ears. The donut seeds may be the better item, but you could get just about anything you want for the bunny ears. If I had a set of them, I'd be trying to turn them for an antique western brass vase. |
